New MagicBands and Sliders coming soon

Can we buy these online yet??? Now that most of them are activate later ...

Currently no. =(
Only 5 character bands are available for purchase online.
Although when this app is launched soon you might be able to purchase the bands through it.

There are 2 RFID radios in the band, a short range one that uses no internal power, the reader actually powers the chip for the short time it is held against the mickey. The long range one used for ride photos is the only one that has an internal battery as it has to broadcast its signal. So the band is good forever for things like park admission,FP's and room keys.

There are actually three devices. 2 passive RFID tags which do not need any power and a transmitter that requires the battery.

Are specific ones available only at their corresponding locations? So a Magic Kingdom one only available at Magic Kingdom and so on? Or Figment only at Epcot, etc.
I'm just wondering if we go to the big store in Epcot (Mouse Gears?) or Downtown Disney, will they have a huge selection or will I need to shop around to find the one I want?

I can't say with certainty but I do know you could buy the Magic Kingdom Castle at resort gift stores. You will probably be able to find the others outside of their parks as well.

Am I the only one who doesn't like to have the sliders? Last year I got the 2014 Annual Pass one for my MagicBand, however after a while I felt it digging into me and so it became uncomfortable. That's why I decided to take it off.

I agree. It's a personal preference. For me, the MB is enough. I'll switch out to different themes/colors but I don't need all that other stuff on them.

I've never used the sliders or MagicBandits as I just prefer the MagicBand by itself. My niece loved to decorate hers but I don't see these sliders appealing to her.

My little guy just wears his around now as a "bracelet". He like the Stitch ones, but it's hard to fit them all on there.

Just downloaded the app. Nice selection of bands, but still waiting on the Jack band to be available. I think I might pick up the Stormtrooper band for myself.

Edit: Looking closer into the app it looks like you won't be able buy the MagicBands through the app like I thought. It tells you the location to buy them but won't let you purchase to ship home.

Now we just need Disney to give us the option to select the graphical bands while booking a trip.

Haven't bee on property, but I've seen it on eBay so it looks like it's available.
