So yesterday I went to Mk for a little bit and saw the last show of the High School Musical and I notice something. They have a new stage. Sorry no pics. I tried to get a picture on my cell phone and was unable to get a good one. If someone on here has one PLEASE post one for me. And they changed the part that you learn. And I don't like it. It is more like the one in Disneyland.

High school musical was a HUGE success. Bigger than any Disney channel movie ever. High school musical was one of the biggest disney hits in a while. love it or hate it, thats the truth. and it didn't really replace anything did it? from what i remember it jsut took over an area that wasnt being used. it didnt take over an attraction

What ride did they lose to put it in? Did I miss something.

I have three nieces, and they all LOVE HighSchool Musical. They are thrilled to be going down next week and being able to watch a performance. Personally, I could do without it but, to hear the excitment in their voices is priceless.

It's all about the Magic!

No attractions were lost in order to put in High School Music. As much I hate the atmosphere it's in, it works..hope the stage is like the DCA one. Much better then ours..

I go to MK almost every weekend, and every time I pass by that stage....a feeling of awkwardness comes by me. High School Musical in the middle of Tomorrowland? What were they thinking?

Ok if you didn't put it in Tomorrow where else would you have put it? And I don't want to hear "Well I think it would work better in (insert park name here)" They obviously wanted to focus on MK for this celebration. They added a new form of entertainment to each major land. Front. got Woody's cowboy camp, Adventure. got the Pirate show, Fantasy. got Lets have a ball, and main street got Family fun day parade.

In my opion High School Musical is in no way out of place. Wouldn't the future still have High Schools? Just my 2 cents.

but HSM CLEARLY takes place in the present. If they would make it a futuristic version it wouldnt be as bad. But like I said, only a few more nails in the coffin and we can throw TL into its grave.

Tomorrowland had a gap that needed to be filled. It had a large area and a need for a show. Now... I do think that they could have just used the Galaxy Palace Theatre (since it is only used for a handfull of events and Magic Music Days.

The High School Musical brand is making Disney a load of money. Everyday in the parks I see at least 5 kids wearing a shirt with the HSM logo. I promise you if there were more merch. for that show it would sell like crazy.

It will draw people into Tomorrowland and it is popular, thats all that matters.

They obviously wanted to focus on MK for this celebration. They added a new form of entertainment to each major land.

And that is really why it is such a mess. They could have done a lot of other things for Tomorrowland. Hell, they could have even made a Buzz Lightyear show. That would even make the entertainment in TL a little more uniform, since they have Space Ranger Spin there anyway. I feel the same way about Frontierland getting the Woody show too. If they had brought back the Diamond Horseshoe, Frontierland would flow much better. Now if they really wanted to do some showstopping street entertainment, they should do a cops and robbers stunt show right in the streets. No one gets tired of seeing the town sheriff put the bad boys away.

High School Musical could have gone into MGM. It should have gone into MGM. There are two empty venues out there that are begging for this kind of show. For just a little more effort and a little more budget they could have made an entirely new attraction for that park. In fact, with the current wave that HSM is riding on it would have been a pretty big addition this fall.

The bright side is that this show was not mean't to last anyway. In another year or so it will be gone.

And that is why I have no problem with it personally. Does it fit into Tomorrowland? No more or less than Magic Music Day performances of high school choruses or the marching bands that used to march through Tomorrowland in the not so distant past (they might still do this, but I haven't seen a marching band in TL in a while). HSM is a fun little diversion for its target audience and is luckily being promoted that way (in other words, it isn't being promoted as a major new thing to do at the MK as say Cinderellabration was). Sure, it has nothing to do with Tomorrowland, can't argue with anyone there, but in little over a year it will be (well, should be) history and will have had no long-standing effects on the TL in general.

I agree that the Diamond Horseshoe show should be reinstated. Even though the Woody show looks like a lot more fun for its target audience, that is all the more reason to bring back the Diamond Horseshoe show for its older skewing target audience.

I cannot wait to see High School Musical. I'm 32 and love it as much as my 8 year old. I know I'm strange, but I do. I honestly think it would have fit better in MGM, but it's not there so we will see it where we can.

Because it is extremely popular and NOW is the time to capitalize on it.

i mean you dont see anything from any other movie!
If, of course, by 'any other movie' you are excluding Peter Pan, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Swiss Family Robinson, Monsters Inc, Toy Story, Dumbo, Lilo & Stitch & Pirates of the Caribbean (not to mention the fact that Jungle cruise was also based on a movie).

I believe they were talking about DCOM flicks.

Isn't the ABC Theater currently vacant?
