It might not have been actively used where there were guests standing there but the ropes were up most of the year making the fountain and most of the park inaccessible, unless you hopped the ropes.

Ok, we’re getting closer to the truth but still not quite there. If you can park a stroller there that means the area was accessible. Regardless, it’s besides the point. Are you insinuating that you had to be dead center of Magnolia Park and next to the fountain to enjoy the ambiance?

If things are filling up the area, no matter whether its ropes or strollers, to the point of it not being accessible and enjoyed as intended, ie as a park, is that really ambiance? To me, no its not. This change at least makes it less likely to be used up for those purposes since there is now at least a dedicated extended queue for HM.

And that goal post keeps on moving haha. But no you re right. I’m mistaken. I must be mis remembering enjoying my time there. Why would some parked strollers bother me? There’s parked strollers EVERYWHERE at Disneyland. If that’s the deal breaker, people probably shouldn’t waste their money. My man, sometimes you just have to take the L or just don’t respond once in a while. It’s better than digging and digging haha.

Your experience is different than mine or anyone else here, everyone is unique in that regard. I'm not saying your mistaken or that you didn't enjoy it even with strollers or queues or anything else. I'm just saying that as it is now with no extended queue, and for now at least, no strollers its more accessible and more enjoyable a space than it was previously in my opinion.

Its not a binary thing. We can have different opinions that are both correct for our experiences and points-of-view, its not a battle, don't know how many times that needs to be said.

Considering the old space had benches, I could enjoy the old space more as there was a quiet place to sit and enjoy the park. I knew teachers who would grade papers in Magnolia park. Now, it is open and looks pretty, but even if the park were as serene as it used to be, there's literally no benches for me to sit and enjoy. So I would say the old park gave me more enjoyment.

You're right there are no benches or tables right now, and that is a shame. My hope is that they add them later as the rest of the area gets finished up. My guess is they add some when the band starts to use the new 2-sided stage so that guests can enjoy their shows.

Words are cheap. When you keep moving the goal post my takeaway is that you are just grasping at straws and have too much pride to say you are wrong.

What's weird is the concept art shows folks sitting down and relaxing. So someone, somewhere along the process knew that would be an appealing concept.

I'd love to see something make its way here along those lines. It doesn't need to be tables and chairs if space is too much of an issue. But some benches that contour to some of the newly revealed planters or something similar would be really nice.

You could come on here and say the Earth is round or that you had a good/bad experience somewhere in the parks and there really would be a handful of folks who would respond with, "No, it's not" and "No, you didn't".

Lol.

Wonder why they didn’t go through with the seating around the fountain.

I can understand doing away with the idea of tables and chairs. There'll be lots of folks going to/from the train, bathrooms and new Mansion ADA and some folks my even try to take advantage of, or bump into them, during Fantasmic!. But a handful of benches along the planters? They definitely have room for something like that.

My thoughts seeing things in person.

The new Magnolia Park is fine for me. It opens things up a bit and alleviates congestion in the area. They opened up the stage in that direction, so it's reasonable to say that at some point when live bands start playing there toward that direction they might put some tables and chairs, but time will tell.

The new gift shop looks so huge in person. Not sure I'm warmed up to it yet, but hopefully after some decor it will look okay, but they have a lot of work to get it there. Exiting the mansion wasn't bad. Just watch where you are going or you will hit a pole.

Visited last night and they had lights on inside the store so you could see inside through a crack in the door. Looked very unfinished all i could see was tools on the floor and drywall. So looks to be far from finished.

You reminded me- not sure I love that double sided stage. When the band is facing the restaurant they should put some potted faux shrubbery behind them or something. It’s a weird look for everyone passing by in Magnolia park. It’s also an issue with the new DTD stage. I don’t think seeing the back of a band on stage is good show. It’s kind of odd.

How do you feel when an artist has a concert on one of those round stages where the crowd is 360 around the stage? As some of our friends from the theater can probably tell you, "theater in the round" is a fairly common practice as well.

This isn’t that though, is it?
