Am I the only one who was expecting them to add a Metropolitain-style sign? But now it's clear that this is not the entrance/exit.
I went to catholic school as a kid in the early ‘80s and one year a nun had a wooden paddle at the ready...let’s keep this thread civilized. Why do I have a sudden vision of Mom getting the wooden spoon out of the drawer?
I saw this up close for the first time this past week - photos are deceiving. That is a large covering and it's really, really impressive. That station is quite nice.Photo update as of Friday, July 19, 2019. Metal railing installed around covered area of International Gateway Epcot gondola station.

Makes sense. I never visit a theme park without my digital hygrometer...or one of those spray bottles with the fanData source is the EPCOT parking lot at 9:00 AM this morning using a calibrated ThermoPro TP-60S Digital Hygrometer, Thermometer and Humidity Monitor. It's a real world temperature taken in the shade. And yes the recorded temperature is higher because of the massive amount of concrete and reflected sun. Lots of heat rises off of the surfaces in EPCOT (and all the other parks as well). Anyone who has visited Animal Kingdom has first hand knowledge of this phenomenon.
The hub is at CBR.I'm still a bit baffled by the layout of this system. Do the stations and turns have names to help differentiate them?
Here's what I'm getting - for those reading ... the following is not fact, it's my brain frying in the summer heat:
Line: EPCOT - IG
- EPCOT
- Bend (not a station)
- Riviera /CBR
- Hub
Line: DHS
- DHS
- Hub
Line: AoA/Pop
- AoA / Pop
- Hub
So that Hub Rob was filming, that's not at a resort? Is that just the transfer station over to DHS?
So CBR has 2 stations? The hub is at CBR.
While the Riviera station will serve some CBR rooms, it's technically not part of CBR.So CBR has 2 stations?
It's not a "Bend," it's called a turn station. I don't know if it's official, but people have been calling it the BW Turn Station, because it's in the BW parking lot. Riviera is just Riviera, not Riviera/CBR, but it will probably be accessible from CBR as well. What you're calling the Hub is the CBR station; it's located next to the CBR entrance road -- but I think somewhere I saw it referred to as the Trinidad Station, though I can't remember where.I'm still a bit baffled by the layout of this system. Do the stations and turns have names to help differentiate them?

No. Riviera has its own station which is in the middle of the line between EPCOT and CBRSo CBR has 2 stations?
Well this just increased the value of CBR significantly in my eyes if folk will be pretty close to a station wherever they are. While the Riviera station will serve some CBR rooms, it's technically not part of CBR.
Didn't Disney showcase a poster for the Skyliner at Festival of the Arts? I felt like the "Skyliner" font on that poster screamed the Metropolitan sign. Also, the concept art for that station does show something at the entrance that looks something like a Metropolitan sign....Am I the only one who was expecting them to add a Metropolitain-style sign? Yep but the poster was pulled after like 2 days of being on display if I remember correctly.Didn't Disney showcase a poster for the Skyliner at Festival of the Arts? And everyone should remember that we have a dedicated complaints thread:Once again, every contingency has been discussed several times. If you come up with a new scenario, it is probably beyond the realm of possibility. Trust me, whatever you are thinking might be a problem has been discussed before.
I really love all the little themed elements and details they are doing to the stations respective of their locations.Photo update as of Friday, July 19, 2019. Metal railing installed around covered area of International Gateway Epcot gondola station.

Riviera Guests have a nice covered walkway to get to the DHS side, but they'll have to go out in the sun or rain to get to Epcot.BlogMickey went out to get some really good photos tonight of CBR and Riviera stations. Also has some decent info on thunderstorms, etc

No just you shouldn’t.So basically since everything has already been discussed there is no reason for anybody to post on this thread any longer?
There is plenty to discuss. Just a few pages back I learned a new thing about opening teams for attractions from this transportation that Disney is building. I have no idea if it applies to this Transportation but it was still fun and interesting learning for me. Stay away from " but what if....." And we'll all be fine.So basically since everything has already been discussed there is no reason for anybody to post on this thread any longer?
