But they ran over Tomorrowland too. It was a great prediction of future transportation!Or for that matter, when Disney ran these things right over Fantasyland.

Yes, they are perforated. Will you be able to see out of the carraiges with character wraps?
Yes, they are perforated.
Hey, remember how some posters use hyperboyle and revisionist history to try to make their point? Because... the real conversation never had anything about 'deafening'.. and in fact quite the opposite. And these videos aren't even shot from the area that was being discussed.
But hey.. let's not let facts get in the way of a good jab...
The real posts..
Size is the least of the issues... It's that it's less than 30ft away. On a ski slope, you don't hang around the tower for hours... like you do in a hotel room. While there is no motors near here, there should still be noise as the cars transition the tower/rollers. Its gonna be one of those droning kind of noises in the background.
Go sit near a lift... It's not just the drive motors making noise. The vehicles being accelerated makes a very distinct noise.. because the drive wheels are taking load as they accelerate the cabin. It's not the spin up of the wheels.. it's the wheels going from unloaded to loaded and their contact patches. That is not silent.
The cabin represents a face of nearly 63 sq ft of squared surface being pushed through the air up to speed. Over 400cubic ft of volume per cabin. That heavy FL air has to move out of the way. That is not silent nor uneventful.
They are very quiet in movement... but the transition from crawl to full speed is not silent nor really are the tower rollers. IG has all of that in very close proximity
Maybe they power some sort of intrusion alarm to alert security if someone attempts to drive or walk down that “road”? Still seems like it could just be powered with real power, though. Lol.
When I drove by the other day, I was actually wondering why they didn’t turn the path under the towers into a functional space. The distance to CBR is about the same as Beach Club from DHS, so they could’ve made a walking path that doubled as an egress access for emergency trucks. Make the area pretty and functional instead of just a gross gravel swath sliced through the woods.
Among other problems like guest deciding it would be fun to throw rocks at the gondola's as they pass over in a semi-secluded area or some pretty scary local animal habitation in those woods, like you said that area must be kept clear in the event that emergency vehicles need to reach it quickly. I know I am not the vision of physically svelte, but, I cannot image people really want to walk to a place where they are going to be walking all day long. That would be catering to a very few.If they paved it over and made it a walking path, then there’s a problem if they need to use it in an emergency.
Sorry, my vision isn't what it used to be, but, I could only see one in the original picture, and yes, thank you Joel. The ability to magnify that shot helps a lot. Even the first one you posted doesn't let me identify the remaining ones. To me all that looks like beyond the first one, is random scrub brush. I wish I could tell you what they were for, but, as a guess, they might be collectors that would be used to keep batteries charged for area lighting in the event of a long term power outage. Sort of like the emergency lighting one sees in a building. If you look at the photo, you can see them every 30 or 50 feet. I count three, maybe four in the photo.
Edit: thanks, Joel! There’s another just to the right of the pylon.
Yes, they are perforated.
Well, if they're every 30 feet or so....Can't imagine what they could be for. If they needed lights they could put them on the towers since there is power running to the tops of the towers.
If they paved it over and made it a walking path, then there’s a problem if they need to use it in an emergency.
Makes sense! You will have the same problem in parking lots.
I think there are other reasons for not doing this. The walking path down the center of the parking lot ends right at the bridge so people would have to cross over all the traffic coming into the park, and then they would also have to cross Victory Way. Also, if they paved that path they would have to add additional storm water control infrastructure.
Ya missed two...
But actually, I was thinking of the one or two posters, whose posts I can't find, that were talking how the IG area was ruined because of all the gondola noise.
Not sure if you have ever been to the IG, but I believe the major concern some are expressing is surrounding the potentiality for any increased noise in this area.
It’s pretty quiet for the most part, with the background music and the occasional horn from the friendship boats filling the air.
The smells waft in from England and France, and it’s there are usually lots of birds chirping in the surrounding trees.
It’s just a peaceful area in an otherwise very busy place.
The concern is born out of the potential noise and racket due to previous experiences with lifts.
As with most concerns with this project, only time will tell.
That's good!!!!! Surprised it's before the DHS Station.Walls have come down around the Epcot station and they put the rolling planters up instead.
Gondolas do not enter park.

Pretty sure it does. It might not have a stop/station in a theme park, but it defiantly enters a theme park (just like the EPCOT monorail I was referencing). As such I'm pretty sure all the Universal Marvel contract would apply to any gondolas on the EPCOT line. So no Captain America, Iron man, or avengers gondolas on this line, I believe the other two lines could have them though.
