yes, im new. today is my first day.You must be new to the internet.
And it takes an elevator a lot longer to go a million miles...I think it's interesting that lifts were far safer than elevators in the "Fatalities per 100 Million Miles Transported" statistic.
To be completely accurate, no guests died. One "fell" out in DLR, and survived after falling into a tree, and a custodian CM at WDW died after the ride was started while he was cleaning a lock-out area that wasn't locked out.... disney had this exact system in place in the 50s in dl and in the 70s at wdw. no one died, no one had major issues boarding, no one had to be rescued on a daily basis, the only problem was kids spitting and throwing things off of them at people below...
Clearly this system will see several decapitations and cases of heat stroke.Wow... eight people needing to cross and load next to each other... I gotta imagine that takes some practice
Scooters and strollers and coolers, oh, my!Clearly this system will see several decapitations and cases of heat stroke.
What do you think this is, America Sings?Clearly this system will see several decapitations and cases of heat stroke.
Just like hon solo, i have a bad feeling about this ...A valid point. They could probably buy 100 busses for the same price, but they would also need to pay hundreds of drivers plus the cost of fuel. I'm way out of my league here in even guessing what it costs to operate and maintain a gondola system, but my guess is it would be much less than a series of buses. It also provides a more novel form of transportation.
I was just in southern Vietnam in a rarely visited "tourist" area, and they had a Doppelmayr system installed that went to the top of this mountain, so, I'm gonna guess that it is really not all that expensive to run.A valid point. All I can say to that is that it is etc, etc, etc, etc.i dont see what the big friggen deal is here, people. this is NOT new, its a well proven and safe mode of transport. disney had this exact system in place in the 50s in dl and in the 70s at wdw. noone died, noone had major issues boarding, noone had to be rescued on a daily basis, the only problem was kids spitting and throwing things off of them at people below. Some of yall think this is some radically new unheardof and untested invention thats powered by nuclear fusion and boarded via a star trek transporter system. its not. either ride it or dont. stay at a skyliner resort or dont. take the skyliner or the bus. no need for 400 pages of bs imaginary concerns, cause in the end, you are they type of people that cause the delays in everything in the first place cause yall dont know how to sit stand board unboard drive fly use an escalator, ect ect ect ect.......

So is Disney gonna be using the same D-line stations or is it gonna be more modified? Also, those gondolas don't seem to have a lot of room for like strollers and uh.. Americans.Poor Disney won't be the first American D-Line customer after all.

I'd like to see a double stroller in that. I do think it would fit, but it's gonna be tight.
