More than likely it wont really matter...The morning crowds are much more spaced out than at park closing. This means the only likely time they will be packed is when its all one way out of Epcot.Going to have to wait till Riviera opens, but I would hope they could get a grasp on the volume needed and, as you said, possibly send empty gondolas to deal with it.
I've heard several riders on the YouTube videos say that they felt music would have detracted from the experience. I think I will agree. Also some Disney music would have probably been better than the occasional narrations. You could turn it into a guessing game for youngsters.

I'll be looking out the window at the views, not staring down the other riders. The comments were that the ride was peaceful & relaxing.Okay, so I guess some people love awkward silences.

Full disclosure: I have not been on the Skyliner yet. But two concerns I'm hearing.
1) The overlays block the view
2) They do get hot when they stop
Same - and it was no hotter than the outside temp. Some even had thermometers and if the temperature did increase while stationary, it was only by a degree or two, and in many cases, there was still a breeze. So far, every report I've seen from people who've been in a stopped gondola have said it's really not that hot.
Is there a picture of the boat/busses for the same time?A still photo of a line doesn’t show how fast that line is moving.
Considering your photo appears to show approximately 50 people those guests could be on board in 1-2 minutes.
Of course it feels warmer when it stops moving, and it will get hot on hot days. The goal of the system is to limit stops, so it shouldn't be a problem. My longest stop was not uncomfortable, but it was after dark. I could see how it would get hot up there if/when there is an equally long stop in the middle of the day. There was, however, a slight breeze still blowing in the cabin.Full disclosure: I have not been on the Skyliner yet. But two concerns I'm hearing.

The wraps: I think they were an awful idea. Some of them are cute and much better done than the buses, but the views are what makes it special. We found ourselves trying to time it to get the unwrapped gondolas.
Nooo! That would turn CBR into Pop.Solution: take the wraps off the cabins and instead put wraps on all the support poles so they are decorated and more pleasing to the eye.

It also hasn't been really hot yet with really high humidity.
98 degrees with 98 percent humidity and eight in a gondola is likely to change that.
As well as if travel stops for 15 seconds, or two minutes under those conditions.
I wonder how many people staying at the Boardwalk, or Yacht and Beach Club will walk to the Skyliner and use it to go to Hollywood Studios and back? I mean it's definitely an option but I guess only useful if you want to go to that one park. They've always had the benefit of being able to walk to Epcot.
