New fastpass

We have just booked up 10 days at the Swan in mid april 2013.My question is whether the new fastpass system will be operating then ,and whether people welcome this new system or prefer it unchanged.Any info appreciated !

No one knows. They're still in very limited testing, and no one outside of the people directly involved in it at Disney know anything beyond this upcoming test. So anyone saying definitely yes/no is 99.999% most-likely guessing.

So when i go at the beggining of Oct. there isnt going to be a fast pass option at any of the parks?

Fastpass had been in testing mode in May, but still not fully implemented. Its offers much convenience, i hope it gets enforced before i trip dow to Walt disney!!!

No, what they are talking about is the new Fast Pass Plus. A way to choose your rides that you want FP's for, from home before you even leave for your trip. There will still be the original FP's in the parks when you go. I don't know how this is going to work out because I like to be spontaneous and who knows what ride I feel like going on at any given time. But, they are doing a testing of this, this month to see how people like it I guess. I got the postcard in the mail on Saturday to do this, so I am testing it out on 9/23... I'll report back to you all!!!

No one knows when it is going to be implemented. There you will be plenty of notice so you will learn all the ins and outs of the new system if it does change for your upcoming trip. For those going right now, you get a post card in the mail if you have been selected. Many people who are leaving in the next couple of weeks are getting their postcards saying they have been selected. My DH has his fingers crossed that we will be chosen but since we leave Thursday, I don't think we have been.

Ok awesome thanks i thought i was going to miss out of fast pass attractions. Also i dont think it will work out because of everyone having to be on a ride schedule and its sort of hard to do that at Disney.
