A bit off topic, but Welcomehome, what would possess you to ride SSE 28 TIMES!! My GOSH! No offence of coarse! I like the ride to, just not 28 times worth!

ha ha. nice.

Actually, if you've eaten anywhere, you've munched on bits and pieces of everything from animal skin to insects and worms to spider eggs to (quite possibly) human/animal parts. However, there are many cultures around the globe that eat insects regularly. Let's not fuel the anti-Americans any more by showing our cultural phobias. I'm not saying I personally would enjoy eating them, and it can be gross. But, it is not an unsafe practice. They are not clearing out the previous night's garbage to find this haute cuisine. Six Flags is a corporation with lawyers. They are fully justified (legally anyway) in doing this. Power to 'em!

As an asthmatic I can tell you that roaches do irritate asthma and allergies, just by crawling around. I can't imagine eating one would be any healthier. I'll just let the people around the world respect my "don't eat roaches" culture instead, and if that particular phobia makes anyone anti-american, I don't give a rat's behind :animwink:

What is with all the Six Flags bashing. When did it become popular to do it?

It became popular when their parks went down the crapper. :lookaroun

Yea, this is pretty nasty, I think I'll take my chances in line. Wait, nevermind, I wouldn't waste my money on a ticket to a 6 Flags park, so it doesn't matter anyway.

Fear factor gone wild.

Stealers, Stealers, Stealers. They took the idea so they could get more people coming to their parks instead of going to disney.

I love the ride. A couple years ago, my friend and I did everything we wanted to do in Disney World for that year. We were considering having a pool day or a disney quest day. (Taking it easy pretty much) But, then we were like...what if we did something crazy...like broke a record? So, since we went on SSE every day anyway (cuz it was nice and relaxing and just a fantastic attraction) we decided we should break that record. We asked the staff what the current record was, and decided to shatter it. So we stayed on the ride for 8 hours straight with pillow and ipod in hand.

It was a great day.

It is perfectly safe. Anyone ever hear of a little show called FEAR FACTOR.

If there were ANY hazzard then they wouldn't do it.

BTW. If Disney did somethng like this, I would eat 20 roaches. But for Six Flags, it's not worth drinking a Vanilla milkshake.
It's not about whether or not there is a risk. There will ALWAYS be a risk in eating cockroaches (they carry an unheard of amount of diseases), but as shown in the article, and as is in every Fear Factor show, RELEASES must be signed. That, and that alone, is why there is no risk for Six Flagsd and Fear Factor.

um

actually an hour wait is a problem when there are two cast member chatting amungst themselves about stuff unrelated to work( on the side that is closed)and every other boat being empty.

Everybody on this board is always bashing six flags. when they actually come up with a good idea that gives them publicity people bash them.

This is also off topic and NOT NEWS ABOUT DISNEY.

But why expect nice people on board about disney wich is a company that has never resorted to name calling and bashing other parks like its fans do.

How can you be a disney fan and bash other parks like this?

Also people complain about the capacity problems at six flags but when I bring up capacity problems at a disney park everybody denies it and says disney cant do wrong.

Six Flags gets bashed for no other reason than the fact that their parks have gone SERIOUSLY downhill over the past 10 years. They deserve the bashing......and the cockroach idea doesn't help their credibility in any category. ;)

I would not do it even for a Disney FastPass....now if it was for a lifetime annual pass.....I would have to definately consider it....

Unfortunately it is true.... I live in the DC area... right next to Six Flags chairman Dan Snyder. This mornings drive was buzzing with the news about the new fast pass requirements for their fright nights.

HAHAHA This is 6FA? Figures, I'm surprised I didn't hear about it on EITM.
