New Fantasyland Opening Day Pins Not to be released inside the Magick Kingdom on Dec 6Th.

According to Disneyparksblog about the New Fantasyland opening day merchandise.Pins will be released at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort from 5pm till 8pm ..Dec 6th ,2012.Guests may line up at 4pm outside of convention room J, but not earlier then that . There will not be a wrist band distribution, it's first come /first serve, like the merchandise inside the MK for opening day items.

Disneyparksblog, said they will release more info on the pin release as date gets closer.

I hate to run from the MK , too the resort for the pins..then head back to the MK for the Christmas party, and too miss out on the lighting of the castle. Not a very smart move disney merchandise team .

This is a weird way to try and sell pins to people, you'd think if it was going to be at a resort it'd be at the Contemporary or one that's on the MK monorail loop

The DisneyparksBlog guy who is in charge , or reporting this.... named Steve. Said there will be a limited amount of opening day pins, and pin sets..but plenty of cashiers , and cast members to help out..and hopefully make it easy for everyone too get the pins ,and head back to the parks.

Since CS is so out of the way, maybe they are trying to keep the pressure off MK by funneling people over there who just want to buy merchandise so that MK is not overwhelmed?

The best solution to this problem is to stop collecting pins. Pennies are the way to go.

Probably to keep those who would only purchase pins and no alcohol out of the MK. Pins don't produce drunkards.

I think it is to keep people who just want the pins out of the MK. But it would be weird to buy an "I was there" pin in a place that isn't where you are supposed to have been.

I am not going to be able to attend, anyway, but think it is odd and feel for my fellow pin collectors.

Contrary to popular opinion, CSR and AK aren't really far from everything, lol. CSR isn't hard to get to from MK. Just watch the signs after you leave the parking lot. I think it is the third exit, but it is marked. Most people who want the pins will likely know how to get there, anyway.

Perhaps this is due to the massive lines seen for Epcot 30th merch? Don't want that to stand out when so much of the press will be there.

Many people that get this stuff only do so to flip it on eBay anyway, and they could care less where they buy it. Probably prefer it at CSR over MK anyway.

Quoted for truth... and was my first thought when I read it was going on at CSR.
