Pretty good...only as I look at all these recent pictures of mountains in the rumored area where Forbidden Mountain will be, I wonder how tall will this mountain really be? Will it tower over the Tree of Life?? How will the mountain affect the skyline of AK? Just some of things I was wondering.:lookaroun

I don't think it will be that bad. It will be so far off to the right that it will not ruin the Tree of Life, and I don't think it will be as tall as most people are fearing. It should blend in quite nicely and be more of a forced perspective thing I'd imagine.

First of all nice pic, looks like you have some talent there. it looks like it was always there, just like everything disney builds. the best example is the coronado springs resort, youd swear te desert was always there just because it looks like it belongs there. I think forbidden mountain will be the same way, just part of the scenery.

Good concept art ricksouave!

I wouldn't be surprised if it was higher than the TOL. After all, look at MGM, the icon used to be the Mann Chinese theater and they built TOT much taller.

the location may be a little off but thats not too important, the size i think, or want to think, is bigger, if its as good as they are claiming its going to be i would think its gonna be pretty huge. but disney has a way of making great use of space.

It'll be 200 feet tall, just like Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain, which are both about that tall (b/t 180ft and 200 ft, anyway), but it is far back in this park, so it will not appear taller than the Tree of Life from the front of the park, while seeming massive once one enters Anandapur. However, the view may actually be limited within the land to only seeing the upper peaks (screams echoing through the land would not really work)--the best view should be from the new bridge they are building, as the mountain will be bounded on one side by the water, very much like the Matterhorn. Anyone know if this is a miniature of Everest like Matterhorn is a miniature of the real mountain? It seems to look at least somewhat like the real mountain, but I'm wondering if they are going to make it perfect to scale.

I believe so...

The reason why TOT was built at 199 - so it could avoid having to put a light at top...

Actually, the Chinese Theatre was never MGM's icon. It was the Earful Tower, until they built the hat. In my opinion, I think it should have been and should always be the Chinese Theatre. The hat bothers me.

But anyways, I can't wait to see what the mountain really looks like!

Dogs do rule. You hit Space right on the head at 180 feet and only missed BT by 3 feet at 197' Way to go dog.:)

That's just what I was about to say!!! They accept 199 feet as acceptable with no aircraft warning light, but once they hit 200, the light has to go on...

That would be kinda funny... A mountain with a blinking light on top... :lookaroun

BTW... how did you make that pic, ricksouave?

The concept art was done using photoshop...(i'm a student in graphic design)
so...it took about 45 min...just using 2 layers 1-the mountain....2-asia(ak)
you just paste the 2 together......and voila a concept art.....(btw...i'm not that proud of it....but i just wanted something to put up here...since we did'nt see anything real yet....!

ok......so thanks for the great comments....

Point taken. I forgot after they BLOCKED the theater with the hat.
