New enhancements to Donald Duck meet and greet at Animal Kingdom

It was such a nice photo-op by itself. Wish they'd do a little more with Cretaceous Trail, move some of the sculptures in the mostly under-used Dinosaur queue overflow into the gardens, bring the Styracosaur back (He's retired to somewhere backstage near Kilimanjaro Safari's jeep dispatch), maybe throw in a couple more skeletal casts so Sue isn't lonely.

Weren't those props in Mickey's vacation home in Toon Town Fair?

I recall one of the rooms having paint spilled everywhere with paint cans all around and I think the others were in the sports room (both at Mickey's).

UPDATE: after looking at pics on Google, the paint cans in the kitchen at Mickey's were actually much nicer and better done than these new ones. How original.
The fishing props look like stuff you could just go out and buy at Walmart. They aren't anything special at all.

Those are awesome! I didn't even know they once had this kind of M&G! I'd love a picture with Dinosaur Donald!

ANY theme in which the back story needs to be explained in depth to guests in order to "get" isn't a good theme. This is one of those examples

All the rest of DinoLand is another example....

I Think Disney Should Stop Slagging off the Meet and Greets and put some Effort into it. The Minnie Mouse meet and greet is Beautiful except her Dress. "Oh let's add some Sparkle and then everything is fine!". They could have made a new Dress for her maybe like the one in Tokyo Disney's One Man's Dream (Hollywood Section). Donald and all the Characters could have great costumes in Disney put a lot of thought into it. They knew CMM was Closing way before it did. So instead of shoving them into little Nooks and Crannys, they could have made Temporary Meet and greets that actual looked good. Also, when are Donald and Daisy moving to Pooh's Location. We know they Definitely are because they have Letters that say "Huey" "Dewey" and "Louie" on them! :banghead: Sorry, rant over. :)

Well, this is disappointing to see.
The Trail used to be a nice place to escape from the masses and cool off amidst the foliage and sculptures.

Yet another quiet corner of the Park taken over by a visually loud intrusion.

The photo showing how the dino has been *painted* made me cringe.
Maybe i am just being a grump, but i don*t find it cute...it is actually kind of insulting and out of theme for that little area.

Oh wait..we are talking about DInoland here.....
Never mind.
There is no coherent theme anymore since the *Dino Rama* carnival came to town, anyway.
:depressed:

So hey! This new re-tooling of the trail fits perfectly, then!

:p

There was still a coherent theme post Dino-Rama: The dig-site, the Institute Campus, and the goofy Chester and Hester Roadside complex all occupied separate little niches (Restaurantosaurus is the transition between the silly and the serious being the hangout of the paleontology students). But now you got the goofy stuff leaking into the classy stuff where it doesn't belong at all. Now this doesn't excuse Dino-Rama from being crap mind you, but there was a story in mind when you put it in and really, dinosaurs always bring out the goofy roadside attraction side of America out.

This might not make sense in the little area of Cretaceous Trail, but it does make sense in the larger context of the park.
Remember that the Jammin' Jungle parade is still running, so we see the core Disney characters, Donald Included, dressed in safari/camping gear packing cartoonishly copious amounts of exploration/camping gear with them traveling all through the park on their way to... somewhere. Turns out that Dino-Riffic Dino Camp was one of their destinations.

I would rather see that entire area become Indiana Jones and the Temple of The Crystal Skull... Completely redo Dinosaur, get rid of Chester and Hester...add an Adventurers Club, and Mystic Manor...a whole area themed to the adventurers and explorers...
