Hello disney fans,

I have just joined in hope of getting some great tips on our first trip to disney world with our daughter (4). Like all other little girls out there she is princess crazy and we are really looking forward to seeing it now through her eyes. We will be at disney world in January and she's already counting her sleeps. We are open to any suggestions on the parks. Also being new to here, is there another place I should be posting these questions to?

Hi and Welcome! There's nothing as magical as seeing WDW through the eyes of your child!

You'll find lots of help here with your planning. Browse through the various categories and sub-topics, and feel free to start a thread with any questions you have!

Welcome, snelgrove! There's lots of good info here so ask away.

I agree with Nemo14 that there's something special about seeing WDW through the eyes of a child.

snelgrove, if you're lil princess loves the Disney Princesses, you should try to get some character dinning. Akershus in the Norway pavilion in Epcot. Cinderella's Royal Table at the MK. Royal Gala Feast at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian.

Another cool tip...since it's her first time...you should go to some place like Michael's and get princess style decorations. And decorate the room to surprise her! Or tell your resort (and ADR's) that it's your lil girl's first time...who knows, you might get some magical treatment. I think the 4 parks also have first time buttons.

Congrats on the trip! January is an awesome time to go...yes, the weather can get a bit fickle sometimes, but the crowds are pretty light.

Welcome to WDWMagic. You've come to a fantastic place to get information and suggestions on the Walt Disney World experience. If you go the the vacation planning forums here, you'll find great advice on things to do on Disney property. There are plenty of helpful people here, from those who have been to the Disney parks countless times(like myself) to those who either are or were Cast Members. I saw that someone suggested the character dining that features the Princesses already, but another good stop for the Princess obsessed little girl is the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique, located inside the World of Disney store at Downtown Disney. There, she can get her hair done in a Princess style fashion complete with some glitter. If you can pay the extra for it, they can also provide her with a matching Princess dress. And remember, if there is anything you aren't sure of, just ask. For the most part, you're going to get some terrific answers and might find out about something you didn't even know was there. Once again, welcome aboard and enjoy your stay at WDWMagic.
