I haven't gotten this one yet and I usually get pins. :( Wouldn't it be cool if you could use this with the other offer! I know you can't but... We would actually save more with the free dining offer since we like to eat at so many table services while we are there. We are doing the bounceback dining in September but it would be great to do it in May too.

How does one get these emails with pins???

A lot of times it's hit-or-miss. My suggestion would be to sign up for as many Disney e-mail newsletters as you can and request a vacation planning DVD.

I just got the May/June Free Dining PIN code e-mail, too. I've gone to WDW almost annually (and sometimes more often than that) since 1998, often with an Annual Pass, and this is the first time I've ever gotten a PIN code offer either through e-mail or snail mail.

I recently found out that my friend Erik had gotten a postcard PIN code over the summer for a Nov/Dec 2008 discount offer. The only reason he would be on their mailing list is because on the Sept '07 trip that my friends and I had to cancel, the second room was in his name.

I recently requested another Vacation Planning DVD, and in the space where it asks when you were thinking about visiting, I put June 2009, and sure enough, the code I got (the Free Dining one) includes June.

We just got a different pin code for merchandise buying. $500 card for $395 or $1,000 for $695. Fine print says it is only for merchandise, no food, rentals, etc. I am guessing strictly T shirts, hats, watches, trading pins, etc. We won't be spending that kind of money, but it was tempting. I was hoping it included food and beverages, but no luck. Seems like lots of discount pin numbers are out there.

If you went during the time (August- September) that they offered free dining you could book a "bounceback" offer for 2009.
(for August- September 28th I think it was)

Gee, I must have missed out on that offer. We went in Aug. The free dining sure would have helped. We almost always end up broke on our last day and can't eat at all!

Is this an AP thing or just a random e-mail? It has a pin #?

Thanks!

Hate you missed on it.I think it started August 24th last year but I am not sure. It ends up saving us a ton. It gets really expensive feeding 4 people for 9-10 days!

I got the discounted merchandise thing too. Wasn't a pin# thing though just an email. I already had a trip scheduled though so maybe it because of that.

Actually it is a pin code thing. $500 for $395, $1000 for $695.

Oh well, thanks for the info. It's only good for people who receive the offer and she couldn't say what criteria they use to make those offers. Maybe I'll get something soon. Did you book a package? I did everything separate because my husband actually got a pin for our room last January. And I usually book in my name. I'd love to know how they decide these things!

Anyway, thanks again!

We did book a package with disney Travel, room, tix ans car. We had also got a survey email a week or so ago asking about our "spending intentions" on our upcoming trip. We told them we probable would not spend a lot as we have been several times. Maybe that prompted it. We'll be there Dec. 7-12 so maybe we will ride something together and not even know it!
