I have to say, I kind of like it. It didn't look too good at first but with the higher res images, it looks quality. Plus, its got Mickey on it!

I'm quite pleased with the name change as well though to be honest. "Disney Studios" or "Disney-Pixar Studios" would make it sound more like an actual operating studio focussed totally on disney and pixar productions. I'm glad they're not abandoning the broader 'classic Hollywood' theme because its the best thing about the park.

I've always had a soft spot for MGM / DHS. With a few new attractions, particularly up in the far corner of the park, it could be a cracking day's entertainment. Hopefully, the name change and the addition of Toy Story Mania is just the start.

I think the logo is classy. I like the gold and black.
The one thing that hit me right away, and I have not seen anyone comment on it is this:

Look at Mickey's ears. They look like the old (prior to digital filming) cameras film rolls......

Hmmmm, maybe it just me.........

As am I. I wouldn't mind if in a few years it evolved into "Disney's Hollywood."

Yeah they need to drop the "Studios" part - kind of sounds like Universal Studios. NO I am not trying to bring WDW vs UNI into this thread! :lol:

Disney's Hollywood reminds me of Dollywood. YIKES

How 'bout "Disney's Hollywood Kingdom" ? --> Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Kingdom. then we'd just have to come up with a new name for Epcot to match

I'm going to miss the MGM part. DHS looks dumb.

Disney's Hollywood Kingdom? :lol: Can we have a "safari ride" through a rehab center to see all the famous people in their natural habitat?

I know that the new name and logo will not start until January but does anybody know if the new name and logo will start appearing in stores on products any time earlier. I will be going in december and like to get some sweatshirts with the new name and logo. I also assumed Disney is also going to want to get rid of old items as soon as possible to make room for new stuff by discounting the old items this holiday season. It will make some great saving on christmas shopping this year!

Here is a great Question... What will be the last thing you will buy with the old name and logo and what will be the first thing you will buy with the new name and logo?

I bought the MGM 2007 t-shirt a month ago in anticipation of the name change. I need to go over soon and see what else I can find. I've also been taking photos of as many instances of the MGM logo as possible. :)
