New Daytime Parade Info?

The parade is still a go. Last I heard it would open with the SDMT, or within a month or two. I also believe a MK version of Dreams is on the way at some point. That was originally supposed to come very soon but was pushed off by Phil, but I think is back on the table for a similar time period as the new parade.

The new parade is still impressive, though it's a shame they couldn't just fund the whole thing after having the same parade for what will be 12/13 years by the time the new one comes.

And SDMT is still opening in 2014? Ugh lol. Dreams would be awesome! But I am not going to hold my breath lol.

BTW is the concept art floating around online somewhere? Some have said they have seen it...

This concerns me A LOT. I think it will be the start of a drastic reduction of fireworks...

Whoa! I didn't know TDL had the castle float!

Great find! Since that was in 1986, I find it highly doubtful that they would still be using that float today. After all, what kind of theme park would use the same tired old floats year after year after year.... Oh yeah....... I almost forgot.
Never mind.

Hmm...As much as I find Wishes to be lukewarm, This concerns me as well. People expect fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. EPCOT and Hollywood Studios already have Multi-Media Night Show, leave the straight fireworks at Magic Kingdom for now.

(Though I certainly wouldn't be opposed to a new fireworks show that ALSO utilized the beautiful new-ish projectors)

I agree completely. This was one thing I agreed with Phil on. While I think Wishes could use a replacement show, I don't think it should be a laser light show with some low-level pyro. My fear is that is what we would get.

Still remember seeing a Pirates and Princess Party back in 2008 and telling my wife " i bet the castle float will be in this parade". sure enough it was, with fabric over the turrets!

i hope there is a new parade coming soon. i love the one currently, but its been there for 10 years and needs some touch ups. i think it would be nice, but also costly. i guess we will find out eventually :)

That could happen anyway.

Remember, Dreams wasn't planned for WDW. A new show was, using elements and tech from Dreams. The MK was to have gotten its own new, unique nighttime show.

I believe that was more to do with Paris having restrictions on what Pyro they can use on a regular basis due to local housing.

Although you never know, any new show for The Magic Kingdom may well have less pyro than the current Wishes, but I am sure it wouldn't be as little as dreams and would include high level pyro as well.

I hope that's what happens. MK could desperately use a full-scall pyro show using the tech from Dreams (and even WoC). Too bad it got pushed off (if it ever happens) like the new parade (also desperately needed).

If they were to spend money improving/replacing a nighttime show, I'd seriously hope it would be towards Illuminations or Fantasmic first. Wishes is the one that least needs any change in my opinion.
