i just hope it will be a pavilion with alot of rides, especially thrill rides :)
AGREED! I feel like half the pavilions don't even have attractions and most of the "attractions" are movies. I really do hope that Disney does something like adding a new country for or during the 30th anniversary of Epcot.

Before they add a pavilion to WS, they need to fix the ones they have in FW. Wonders of Life sits empty 10 months of the year, Imagination....well; y'all know the rest.

Australia, not just a country, but also a continent. Also adds to the drinking around the world. Kiwi, Platypus, Kangaroo, Emu, Dundee, so much to choose from.

Wow. I put more thought into the whole "new country" thing. What if they did Australia and put on an island in the lake near Japan that way it could look more like an island on the map.

There is room for 7 more countries around the world showcase...fitting them in isn't the problem

This is a urban legend I believe. Based on the aerials I have taken there is only room for 1 more country (Africa outpost) without any major demolition of current buildings.

But what if they picked really skinny countries, like say Chile or Vietnam. They could easily squeeze them in between the existing countries.

What kind of architecture would define Australia?

I'm on board with Russia.
Or New Zealand. Attraction could be Flight of the Conchords.

Nope, there is room for more than one. Martin's map is due to pop up here anytime now...

As for Brazil...it appears that it went nowhere. The concept was solid, and the art looked good....but I guess they weren't in the mood to drop that much coin in Epcot.

As of now, thre are no new countries in active development.

:ROFLOL::ROFLOL: What makes them "skinny"?

A new country for WS would be awesome, but they desperately need to "fix" Future World first. WS as it is is fine the way it is at the moment.

I do find this disappointing but I have to say, I enjoy the World Showcase just as it is at this time. I would love to see it expanded, but when I am there I find it to be perfect.

That was part of my training when I worked there in 96-97. I don't remember all of the spots but there's room for one before Mexico, one between China and Germany, one between Morocco and France, one between UK and Canada and one after Canada.

Can't recall the other 2 spots but remember they didn't necessarly mean they would have a full amount of space connected to the lagoon but could have a smaller entrance and go further back from the lagoon. The buildings would be taller and visible, you would just follow a pathway to get to them.

Edit: just looked at a map and for some reason the spots between Mexico & Norway and between Japan & Morocco are ringing a bell.
(also corrected the UK one...it's after UK, not before)
