At what point will people just stop paying these prices? I realize that they can keep upping the rates and if people want to stay there, they will pay. But at some point, it has to get to be too much. How full will the hotel be when they're charging $500/night for MK view?

The prices now for Tower MK view range from 430 to 625 PER night, depending on the travel period. WOW!

So, question? With this new system, if you put in for and pay for a MK Tower view, is it guarenteed or will you be disappointed again :brick:when they put you on the Bay Lake side and say there is noting they can do for you?!

Supply and demand. If they can get $50/night more, and they keep a certain capacity, they'll do it. Fiscally, it makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately, it hurts everyone who was already breaking the budget by staying in the tower.

Exactly! Same reason the Polynesian segregated their lagoon view rooms to lagoon view rooms and MK lagoon view rooms. They did that a few years ago.

When I started going to the Polynesian in '94, they had Parking Lot views, Garden views, Water views and Lagoon views. Then a few years later they combined everything to just garden views and lagoon views. What a rip that a parking lot view was now the same price as a garden or water view.

(of course, those were the days I didn't mind a parking lot view - my tastes have changed a little since to DVC owner)
