New Commercial for Universal

One Little Spark...
And, I think what Disney is missing is how much after a day of waiting in line and spending time with the kid (yep, spending time in line IS spending time with the kid, you have to pass it somehow!)...is that when it's all over and done with you see this...

I don't WANT to plan out our day, I don't want to guarantee I can ride the teacups...

I want to have amazing experiences that make me think, when it is all over, that it was worth every penny.

If it's all preplanned, I don't get those surprises. I "reserved them"...

And, that makes the whole experience cheaper.

Look, I grew up with the parks, but I went back in 2010 for my first trip as a parent in 2010, and honestly the first whole day I wasn't impressed.

By the end of Summer Nightastic, I was hooked. And that led to trips in 2011, 2012, and 2013.

Disney has made a lot of money off me.

But, NONE of that had to do with being upset I had to wait in a line, or really FP. Disney is turning the theme park experience into a shallow use of technology, rather than a delicate mix.

I hate MM+, I hate what it's doing to the parks, and I have my reasons (business and personally).

Just one big meh...

And, if you want to know, my kid wants to go back to Universal, so you EVEN fail there.

When I have a 9 year old who complains about how the Tangled restrooms should have been a ride (not my doing, I am a disnut, but we don't talk Disney very much, I know you dumbass "Imagineers" won't believe that, but...I do...she walked into NFL and walked right back out and all we did was Little Mermaid, which she adored (I didn't).

And, then this year we are planning a larger family trip with her step-family, and they really want to do...Universal. They love Disney (the younger kid's room is all Disney), but they don't care to visit. They want to do Universal.

My point is, you all are missing so many boats that Universal is catching.

Ok, for devil's advocate, I'll fire back with a Disney commercial...

You see, that was good. That's showing what Disney has to offer. None of this MyMagic Plus nonsense. And the way that the cast members were getting ready for the day almost made it seem like they were prepping for you to get there. Which I'm sure was the point.

More of that and less of the magic band promotion.
