New Castle Breezeway Opening Schedule

I agree. DAWM is a really enjoyable show, IMO. And besides, why fix something that really isn't broken. I've seen it so many times and it always draws a crowd, though I'd imagine anything on the stage would eventually draw a crowd.

Unfortunately, it's the most central location in the entire park, so people are going to stop and see whatever is on that stage in passing no matter what. It's common sense. So the argument that people make about the show still drawing crowds is irrelevant. It's the same as if you put a band in the middle of a shopping mall. People are forced to see it because of logistics. I'll give Disney credit, it's great marketing to sacrifice the castle because they know people will be roped into whatever gets thrown out there on stage.

I am trying to figure out what part of the Castle everyone is talking about, I know when we went in Nov 2011 we walked through part of the Castle at a little after 9 in the morning. I remember this because 1 Dear Hubby was only able to get 3 pictures of the murals and 2 he was frustrated that he could not get more pictures of the murals for me because he knows how much I like murals. I am trying to figure out if the area we walked through is the one you all are talking about. We walked up the right side of the Castle and then went through the passage, is this the breeze way your talking about?

Thanks
DJ

Tell that to the hundreds of people who gather at the stage before the show even begins... Stop trying to argue that the show isn't necessary. People most certainly enjoy it and therefore make plans ahead of time to watch it. And the last thing the "World" needs is another entertainment cut right now.

I've never seen DAWM, but does it have to take place in front of the Castle in Magic Kingdom?

Is it good enough of a show to replace VOTLM at DHS, for example?

That would not happen (one, not enough room. and two, I would not want this show to leave)

Yes. It's the murals lining the breezeway between Main Street to Fantasyland, underneath the castle

Being one of the most busiest parks in the world, you would think they would have all pathways open to allow traffic flow to be smoother. The one thing i find that slows down traffic in the parks is people going against a flow of people, or people stopping in the middle of the walk way. I hope that opening the breeze way is a sign of arranging some type of traffic plan for the future.

Traffic Flow around the hub is INSANE anymore.

I'm curious as to how this will work. The problem is that nightly, 10,000 people or more sit on MSUSA and want to watch MSEP & Wishes from Main Street.

I agree it's insane. We just got back from a week at the resort and were in the MK for 5 nights at Wishes time and did not see it from Main Street even once because we could not even get near the hub, let alone Main Street.

As a long time visitor I've been annoyed that you cannot walk through the castle and see the mosaics. I'm glad I took pictures when I still could.
