New backstage holiday tour - Disney's Holiday D-Lights

Sounds like a great tour, but holy crud! The price point on that is quite ridiculous!

$75 would have been great, but $175 is absurd. I'd rather watch the fireworks from a beautiful dinner somewhere for that money. And with a family of three or four....

Whomever created this price is out of their minds.

Thanks for this ... I was really interrested until I saw the tab ... $179 is a lot of scratch for something like this. Do you think it's worth it?

Not unless it comes with a stay in the dream suite. Then maybe:)

But $175 for a four hour and change tour? I couldn't justify that on a trip.

One plus is that theme park admission isn't required, unless it's a typo, so that is also bumping up the price a little bit there.

Heading for the great escape.
Thats a bloody pricey pin. Thanks but no thanks not prepared to pay that for a 4 hour tour. Maybe just do UnDiscovered FW again. :)

Then there should be a one-day ticket price discount for those who have already purchased tickets to the park that day.

Perhaps they will eventually do that, but I just don't think that's happening.

The new holiday lights tour would be great, but taking a look at the price I might shy away. Still, will be at WDW in early December and will be in all the parks to see all the lights. This will be my first time down in December, so this tour might have to wait until next time.

Thanks for the info!

Price a bit high, would not hesitate if it included dinner at Mama Melrose.
Will be there Dec 23d...too bad tour is not offered after the 16th. I would take the tour this year and pay the price. I do hope it is better than the usual holiday tour offered.

If you were only going to be in WDW for one day, and essentially wanted 'priority' access to all of these displays AND you had a Disney Visa (for the discount) it might be worth it. Might.

For most other people, this seems way overpriced.

I guess if you could not get a CP dinner package and did not want to wait in the stand-by line this would be an option. I would like more for the money.

Liked the sound of it until I saw the price. I would not pay that much to see the lights, even if they are Disney's. Lower the price and we'll talk. There's so much money going out around Christmas as is. Like I've got a spare $179 lying around after buying gifts for everyone and all the other money that magically evaporates around that time of year.

Frankly, I really enjoyed the tour through the decorations warehouse with the Backstage Magic Tour (full day walking and bus tour) Seeing everything broken down and employees hard at work during the month of May to relamp garlands and tie on new ornaments etc was pretty cool.

But a $179 is really high price for viewing what you would already see by just visiting the parks. But because it is a limited time, it might get some whales to open their wallets for the tour.
