Is the DVC discount on the annual pass 15% or 20%? I can't remember.
Just curious what it will cost to renew my AP once the new prices are in place.

You can purchase your renewal voucher and have it held at will call for you. The prices have already increased on the WDW website but, for some reason, they are not at the new price on the DVC Member website. An annual pass is $425.00 right now. Grab your renewal before they adjust the prices.
I think $425 is the new price. I thought it was about $389 before the increase. Also notice the child price is the same as the adult price. I was trying to buy before the increase, but there was no option to have the vouchers mailed to you, only will call. Now the shipment option is back.
I thought I read in another thread that vouchers had to be activated within a year. Any truth to that?
Yesterday's price, before tax, was $419.00. I paid $1338.72, with tax, for 3 passes. To purchase the same tickets today, with tax, would cost $1357.89. That's 425.00 each, before tax.
It would be great if $425 is the new price, but I have a feeling an error has been made that will be corrected soon.
I'm very happy that my older daughter is a Disney Campus Rep. There's no need for a pass for her. Yea!
I don't think so since they clearly said it was a savings of 149.00. I think this is what is is.
I called yesterday to see if there was anyway to renew early and the woman on the phone said that the prices weren't going up that much. I was still worried because nothing was posted anywhere... who would have expected the savings to go up?
We have teenagers so it makes no difference to me but it just doesn't seem right, charging children the same prices as adults. I really wish Walt Disney were alive. I'd like to believe he would have found it unacceptable.I'm not sure how I feel about kids paying the adult price. My son at 6 rode all the rides, so I can see it being appropriate. I think some kids are small and can't ride everything. If they can't ride, they should have to pay the same price. If your daughter can ride everything... then I guess it's somewhat fair.

I really think it has more to do with people with young children are cash strapped, and if they can get a break on the price, they are more apt to go than if they had to pay full fare.
If it had to do with how much of the park a child can use, then we could argue for all sorts of discounted tickets. A pregnant woman should get a discount - they can't ride everything. Some people with psycological problem cant take flashing lights, so they get a discount. Heck, there are people that are just plain scared of certain rides, I guess they would get a discount too.

Wasn't there talk recently about bringing back a General Admission type pass that would allow admission to the park but no rides? Kind of a "Grandparents" pass. Of course, I'd hate to see how crowded the MK would be then.
