My friends in skin-tight striped yellow spandex and orange mohawks tell me that the new animated Timon debuted at FOLK stage 2 days ago. I haven't seen it myself, but they say it's pretty cool, yet as jarring and unnerving as the first time you saw Mickey speak and blink at the castle show. I know this post is pretty useless without pictures, but expect them and video to follow soon...

That's cool. I missed it by a couple weeks though.

I'm assuming they didn't get rid of the real life Timon. How do they coordinate that?

I believe he means animated in the sense that Timon's face now moves in sync with what he's saying, ala Dream Along With Mickey :wave:

My goodness it took them awhile to get his mouth and eyes moving..I asked about it around the beginning of the year and now they finnally got him that's great!

your friends in the skin tight yellow spandex .. the tumble monkeys are gorgeous.. one in particular that i go to see A LOT :)

Wait a minute...I'm not the only one who goes to FOLK because I have a wicked crush on one of the handsome performers?

I suddenly feel as if a weight has been lifted. :)

Haha, if you think you've got it bad, you should hear some of the Opps cast members talk about "their" monkeys. Quite scary, actually...

This is great news. I finally have a reason to go back and see this show. I havent seen this show since it was in a pre-walled in theatre. I just don't seem to have the urge to go watch this show.

The technology was used at The Festival of the Lion King in Hong Kong a couple years ago. I saw a video on you tube of it and it was pretty cool.

Hehe that's okay, my crush isn't on a monkey, but one of the other performers, so at least there would be no jealousy. :) Sometimes on stilts, sometimes on the ground - it's always a surprise where the hunk will arise. ;)
