Hello all! We will be heading to the most magical place on earth in just 30 short days!! we can't wait! I was curious though if anyone has been on any of the tours offered by the disney parks and if so which ones do you suggest ? We never gone on one and we know we would like to do one but we just don't know which one to do!? Thanks so much!

Disney Wife (@Cindy'sBruno) and I did the Dolphins in Depth tour a few years ago. AND. IT. WAS. AWESOME! A bit pricey but worth it. Dolphins were cool but for me the coolest part was that I got to take a shower in the Living Seas Pavillion. Yes I know it Seas with Nemo and Friends now.
I miss Sea Base Alpha.:(

wow!! I bet that was amazing!!

I was also thinking about the AK tour with the hike through the "safari" and you get to get up close to the animals. . . there's just so many possibilities!

You can't go wrong!!!!! Its a great first tour for someone who has not taken one before. DH and I are still on the fence of kicking it up a notch - we are considering Behind the Magic, Dolphins in the Depth or Wild Africa Trek.

We did the Backstage Magic tour back in January, and it was AWESOME!!! It lasted about 7 hours, and covered all 4 parks, as well as Central Shops (where we got to see a piece of the Little Mermaid ride AND a mold of C-3P0 - waaaay cool!!), Costuming, the AK parade warehouse, the place where they grow the topiaries, and it included lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe. It was an amazing experience.

Wow! that one sounds like a lot of fun!! Can't wait to pick!

Behind the Seeds is a fun affordable tour to "break the ice" with:

Yeah i thought that one sounded fun also but my boyfriend wasn't too impressed with it. . . :(
looks like it'll be a different one!

I highly recommend the Keys to the Kingdom or the Backstage Magic Tour depending on how much you're willing to spend/how much time you have for a tour. Both will give you fantastic insight into the workings of Disney and you'll get to see some really great things backstage.

thanks to everyone's input!! I think we are leaning the closest to KTTK, or AKT tour, I would love to do the backstage tour but I don't think we have enough time!! Getting closer!! can't wait!!!

We did the Segway tour of World Showcase about 4 or 5 years ago... AMAZING experience! Loved getting to explore the World Showcase before all the people arrived, and got to learn how to ride a Segway!

I agree. We really enjoyed it. Also, I know they have a DVC discount, but they may have an AP or other discount also.
It is one of the cheaper tours ($15+/-) and takes less time than most. But, it is fun to be on the outside of the boat.
Disney visa gets you 15-20% off tours as well.

KTTK is a good tour. It's especially good for people who aren't huge Disney geeks that already know most of what they'll be told.

Behind the Seeds is one I enjoyed a lot. If you love the part of LWTL where you ride through the greenhouse and stuff, you'll like this tour.

I loved the Segway tour because I loved riding the Segway.

Wild by Design is my favorite of the tours I've taken. I was fascinated when the zookeepers talked to us (they told a really funny story) and feel it was the most fun and informative of the tours.

I haven't done the Trek. The lunch doesn't look appealing and I hear there aren't enough bathroom breaks.

I have taken most of the tours. I think the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour doesn't get near the amount of attention it should. If you are interested in learning about Walt and his influence on the Magic Kingdom - I would definetly take that tour. In fact, I have taken it twice. And it is very reasonably priced - I think it was $30.

My mother & I did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour on my last trip and we loved it!! We had the best tour guide and chose to do the 1st tour of the day.. since it does take up 5 or more hours of the day. It was so informative and a lunch at Columbia Harbor House was included, also a ride on Jungle Cruise & HM. It really was worth it.. but in 2008 it was only $60 per person, now I am sure it has gone up from there.

We have done the KttK tour and the Behind the Seeds tour and enjoyed them both tremendously. If you are wanting a longer tour, KttK would be my first choice.

With the Backstage Magic tour... you can save a park ticket. None needed. We did the tour and a supper ressie later (which we did not need after the Canyon Skillet at Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge).
