As someone who has racked up his own share of Star Tours frequent flyer miles, I think this is one refurbishment in which we don't need to worry much about the end result. Everything we've heard about this project is promising - multiple destinations, no-glasses 3D, new AAs and cabin effects - even the recently released queue video is great. The fact that the new ride is set between the two trilogies means that it will be able to take from the best of both (eg, Alderaan still around, but the Death Star in construction, etc.). And I'm hearing that this new attraction will revolutionize the motion-sim medium the same way the original did in the 1980s. So I'm guessing that just a little time and patience will bring us the attraction any Star Tours fan could want.
