I am thinking we will only have time for 1 show in AK. Which would you recommend for DS (8) and DS (3). They have not seen either movie so they will not have a preference.

Thanks!

For kids who have not seen either movie (shame on you :D), I'd go to the Lion King. It's very lively, and even if they're not familiar with the music, the show is very entertaining.

Celebration of the Lion King is amazing! It's not too long and it's very interactive and just a lot of fun. Finding Nemo is a really long show. I don't remember a lot about it other than that I thought it was a little boring. I'm going to give it another chance on my trip in December.

Easy... Lion King. Lion King has acrobatics and lots of things to keep the children entertained. Nemo is more like a stage production musical. It is something to be appreciated... but can bore some. Lion King on the other hand has got characters, singing, dancing, crowd participation, trampolines, people coming into the crowd (yes, Nemo does this too), etc.

Lion King.. For the win... in your scenario.

I've done both and while I thoroughly enjoyed Nemo just based on the gentlemen who was singing Crush's part...I would do Festival of the Lion King FOR SURE since you only have time for one. Hands down - the best in the 4 parks :D

My choice would be Lion King if you only have time for one.

Lion King is a more upbeat, fast paced show with a lot of movement - acrobatics, dancing, singing, stiltwalkers, etc.

Nemo is also a really good show, but more of a theater/Broadway style performance with a focus on various sizes of puppets performing and singing.

Lion King for sure with the kids! Colorful upbeat and very energetic!:)
Nemo is wonderful in a different way, it may be almost to "deep".

We haven't seen either show either and I plan on seeing ALL shows on my trip this year (hopefully, l).

On another note - you have an 8 and 3 yr old and they've NEVER seen either of those two movies?!? How is that even possible?

I must differ alot from everyone here becuase I really don't like Festival of the Lion King, but for kids I think it's great. Mainly because of everything going on. Finding Nemo seems to be more of an adult type of show, whereas Lion King is a little interactive and has so much going on with all the acrobats and animatronics. The kids are sure to enjoy that.
