I will be there this coming Friday & Saturday. I doubt I'll get to ride it because the last I heard, those were the Passholfer preview days. If anyone knows differently, please let me know.
4 days, 16 hours, 14 minutes till my flight leaves.

Since a CM decided to PM me and tell me this is not publically released info, let me assure you all this is information that has been given out and authorized to tell to guests. The fact that this is being reported on multiple Disney sites across the web furthers the validity that this is a "released rumor." But, as the CM said in the PM and as I will reitterate, a soft opening is always "potential" and doesn't happen until it actually is physically happening. There are no guarantees, etc. that you will get to ride even when it is "announced" because they are constantly tweaking, turning, fixing, etc. to get things just right.

:veryconfu Hadn't heard this. All I know about is the preview for Epcot CM's on Wednesday. Having it soft-open for guests prior to this sounds a bit odd.
Yes, they usually do a soft opening before many of the ride's have previews. I've been on Stitch's Great Escape, Soarin', Lights, motors, action!, and a few others before CM, AP, and even WDI previews. Now DisneySaint, in post #28 are you talking about this monday, or next monday? Or just previews in general?

NEXT Monday meaning 10/16. The PM I received told me I shouldn't have said that there is a potential soft opening for the 16th because that is not public information and guests may be upset if they can't ride that day. I was mentioning it IS public information that there may be a soft opening on the 16th. What I do not know is if there is this rumored soft opening this coming Monday. I find that doubtful, though.

The walls are not down as of today. The left side of the tank, as you walk down the ramp into the tank was a TOTAL MESS... completely murky with a visibility of maybe 15 feet. The right side was marginally murky, with a visibility of 30 feet. Everyone around me, (and the place was packed) was saying, "why is it so murky???"

Any updates for today? I thought about swinging by Epcot after work if the walls are down but if not, I rather save a trip.

I will be there for the annual pass holder preview on friday.

I was thinking of going for the passholder preview on Friday or Saturday, but despite having been a passholder for about 6 years now I've never attended a passholder preview for any new attraction, and I have a question for anyone who has. Are these events typically normal to very crowded, or is the number of people who usually show up for such things fairly limited?

In other words, is the benefit of going to a passholder preview simply that you get to experience the ride before anyone else, or is it more of an opportunity to avoid the kinds of crowds that would be expected after the official opening?

Also, do they limit the number of times a passholder can ride during the preview, or is it pretty much open admission as long as you have an annual pass to show? Thanks.

It was open for guests today. (Tuesday the 10th) Its a good dark ride for the whole family. I got one ride on it today. I was in line around 7pm tonight when the ride stopped and the house lights came on. As they exited the queue on of the CM's was telling everyone that they were haveing difficultys with the ride and to check back later tonight. This CM also said the ride would be open everyday starting monday the 14th. I found that to be odd that she was giving opening dates out and all of the suits around her were just agreeing with her.

The only thing I dont like about the ride is just that. It is now just a ride. I didnt like the fact that they go to all the trouble of theming the queue to take you under the water and then you turn the corner and your in the seas pavilion. :brick: :veryconfu

They could easily put up a wall with a door that could be opened if
necessary. They should of let the ride take you to the pavilion. This is a huge mistake in my eyes. Other than that I loved the ride. I do love the seagulls by the sign. They just make me laugh.

Did anyone else get to ride today? What did you think?
