According to the mailer sent out to Disney Reward Visa holders, the new Nemo ride at the Living Seas (The Seas with Nemo and Friends) will open "November 2006."

Hopefully, we'll have previews and such well before this...

To add more confusion...

The logo/marquee we've seen for the attraction/pavilion "Seas with Nemo and Friends" is on top of the blurb, but with a poorly photoshopped image of marlin and dory added on, so much so that a white box is around them over the background of the brocher and also in part of the logo image itself.

Then, below, it says "New! Nemo Attraction - Epcot" without ever refering to it by name in the text. It does says it's at the Living Seas pavilion though.

We received our mailer, too. There is no mention of the private Meet-n-Greet photo package with Mickey and Friends at EPCOT in this issue. Last year (2004-2005), we had a voucher for Disney Reward Visa users to have a free photo with Mickey--this year's (2005-2006) is set to expire on September 30th. Does anyone know if this will be available for 2006-2007? :veryconfu

Probably not. The photo was only available for the Happiest Celebration on Earth, which ends September 30th. However there could be something new for the Year of Million Dreams Celebration which starts Oct. 1st,2006

I noticed the poor photoshop work too. That's very unDisney! I used to work in an ad agency - I as a proofer would have been in deep **** for letting something like that get out to the masses.

I too hope they have a soft opening at the end of October when my family and I will be there!

Something else weird, we received a "Hello" e-mail today with a link to the Disney website that says it opens in October. I'd post the link, but you have to log into "my vacation" to see it.

Yeah, just noticed that Disney's "Backstage Pass" monthly feature on their website is highlighting the Seas with Nemo and Friends and says that it will be open mid-October.

I'll be there in late October, too! Here's hoping for a chance to ride it then. :sohappy: I'm so excited to see what the entire pavilion will look like with all the work done.

Just in case someone hasn't posted the text of this earlier....

FIND "FIN-TASTIC" NEW FUN WITH NEMO
The newest Epcot® attraction takes you and your little one into an enchanting undersea world, opening mid-October
If you're like most families with little ones, you've seen Nemo get lost and found literally hundreds of times, courtesy of your DVD player. But what do you think might have happened after the movie ended? Can you just imagine, then, how incredible it will be when you and your little guppy actually find out what it's like to live in Nemo's world—and find out what happened after the movie ended? Starting this October, you can experience it all first-hand at The Seas with Nemo & Friends, inspired by Disney-Pixar's "Finding Nemo."
Picture an endless parade of "clamobile" vehicles skimming by. You take your small child by the hand, hop aboard, and the journey begins. In a moment, you're beneath the ocean, as undulating currents cast wondrous lights and shadows on the scene. It's a bright and cheery world, just the way an inventive young mind might have dreamed it.
The gang's all here
As your clamobile glides along a stunningly beautiful coral reef, who should appear but Mr. Ray and his school of fish on a field trip. He tells us to keep an eye out for Nemo, who's off doing some exploring on his own.
You pass through scene after scene, laughing along with all the friends you and your little one have gotten to know so well, from Dory, Marlin and Crush to Bruce, Chum and Squirt. Dory does catch glimpses of Nemo, but thanks to her short-term memory, she keeps forgetting to tell her fellow fish.
Animation and reality swim together
Everyone keeps bobbing along until reaching the massive aquarium where "real world" sea creatures seem to magically exist with Nemo and his friends, who end the new adventure on a happy, song-filled note.
Of course, Crush the gnarly sea turtle is close by at his own Turtle Talk with Crush interactive show, which has already become a must-see on every family's list. He's there to field questions from humans like you, and ask a few of his own in his totally awesome style.
The Seas with Nemo & Friends promises to become an all-time favorite, in the tradition of Disney attractions that glide you through a fully immersive environment. But most of all, it's a fun and funny experience to share together.

Jeez, that press release sure pushes the 'ride it with your kid' angle. What if I don't have a "little guppy"? No appeal there?
