Nemo ride description (Spoilers)

Is Nemo really considered a "classic Disney character?"
Considering it's the 14th highest grossing film in U.S. history..... I'd say yeah, it's pretty high up there, and the kids LOVE Nemo. Whether it's a kid carrying a Nemo plush, wearing a Nemo hat, or sitting in the row behind me on safaris and yelling "LOOK! FROM NEMO!!!" While I talk about the Pink-Backed Pelicans.

I definitely consider Finding Nemo to be one of those "instant classics."

As was previously stated, Finding Nemo was one of the highest grossing films of all time. To me, that's pretty telling about the main characters popularity.

This is a bold proclamation. Can you present substantial proof of this?

See Imagineersrocks post above for that. Just because it was Pixar doesn't mean it isn't a big pop culture icon. My sister was at the Atlanta aquarium the other day and there were some clown fish, she said that all the kids just kept saying. "Look Nemo".

The lines for Crush are out the door, the film was hugely successful, it's as classic a character as The Little Mermaid or The Lion King were for Disney.

I would be careful in equating popularity with being a 'classic'. True, the movie did phenomenal at the box office, but to be a classic something needs staying power. Only time can grant this, and it is doubtful that enough time has passed since Nemo's release to cement his place among other classics.

Nemo has more than enough staying power.

It's easily in the top 10 of Western Animation.

Over at another Disney fan site (Laughingplace.com), they are reporting that they heard that soft opening of Nemo and Friends ride may happen as early as this Friday, October 6. Anyone hear anything similar? I'm actually going to be down at WDW over this weekend and I'll be sure to check and I'd be thrilled to get a sneak peek, but I'm not counting on it.

Dang the one weekend that I am not going to be in the state. O well I've got the week after to ride the ride.

Is this ride going to have FastPass?? I hope there isn't one so the line will continuously move more or less.

As far as I, or anyone else, has seen or reported currently, the answer is no.

But, that could change or we could have just not seen them, but that's doutful.

Currently in the top 5 merchandise for Disney years after the film.

While at Sea World this past weekend in San Diego noticed that they were selling these little white soft cotten bags with a clownfish inside. Obviously it didn't say Nemo on the side but its obvious they are doing this to capitalize on Nemo's continued popularity.

With expectations exceedlying high for all three new Nemo attractions, I don't see Nemo going anywhere for a long time.

To answer my own question from earlier there are (or at least were) moray eels in the Living Seas. Im watching a tribute video of the living seas and the guy who did the narration for the seacabs is like "If you look carefully you'll spot everything from sharks to hoverfish, you might even spot a MORAY EEL lurking within the coral"

They didn't get rid of any of the marine life for the nemo overhaul did they?
