Nemo in Epcot

So I rode the new Nemo ride in Living Seas. As a ride it was pretty good - not really huge, but more than just a short ride. It resembles Horizons vehicles in that they sit sideways and have a central opening door, although the vehicles are not suspended.

The story line lacked a bit. Quite a bit, atually. Nemo goes missing again (maybe this kid needs some discipline or counseling if he runs away that much). There really is no plot, just videos of the various characters. Most of these are pretty neat, but after you seen it a couple of times and the novelty has worn off all you are left with is a bunch of videos (and the jellyfish).

The ride felt like a good way to test out some new effects that will make their way into other rides. But I think it is going to get old really fast. More importantly, it offers nothing in the way to enhance either the pavillion or Future Wordl itself, and really feel out of place, if you ask me. This should have gone into the 20K area in Fantasy Land.

I think your being polite:lol: . We just got back a few days ago and I can honestly say that Nemo was huge disappointment.

What were you expecting though? This wasn't planned to be a huge, epic ride.Just a nice little dark ride addition to the Living Seas. It looks like it completes its goal pretty well.

I wasn't expecting anything on a grand scale, I just feel that it was really lacking imagination. Simply stated it was flat.

What storyline? I figured wnough that Nemo went missing, but really there was no cohesive plot, just a bunch of images. Perhaps a better understandable dialogue would help, but nothig actually happens.

The ride itself is almost all projected images. Yes, they ue multiple projectors so that characters semm to move with you, and they do project onto the aquaroium windows so it looks like the cahracters are in the tank, but unfortunately it's not something that tends to be really neat after riding a few times.

I agree that it was not meant to be anything spectacular, and at least they did something there. I just think they could either have doone something much better, or that this should have been in a better spot.

Perhaps I just built my hopes up too much.

Good point, I think if it were a large priority, disney obviously would've put more of an effort into its production.
