Nemo has Seagulls!

Merf, if you look at your pic, in the upper left of the marquee you'll see a little white rounded head and a long orangish beak. Looks like a seagull to me!(or I'm just as crazy as you :hammer: )

Your conspiracy theories have now been confirmed Merf. Imagineering is checking up on your posts and deliberately changing things when they know you're coming.

This has become like Mission Impossible for Merf. Mr Merf your mission should you choose to accept it is to get to the park on a clear day and get a shot of the seagulls "MINE". These Seagulls will self destruct in 5 seconds to keep you from getting this photo.

OK, just a few questions, feel free to answer...

1. Have the rocks been repainted?

2. Does anyone know the order in which these mural paints were applied? I'm guessing that the whole mural was covered in light blue and then the darker blue and purple were added next. You can see that the bottom left 'line' started getting it's dark blue coat but wasn't finished. The same goes for the middle blue on the far right. My guess is that this light blue paint is entirely a base coat and will most likely be completely covered. I'd like to see more greens/aquas.

3. What's up with the random gray marks above the top left portion of the mural? What could those be from?

4. Has that tree always been so ugly?

Funny how an angle can make a difference in what we see. Hope to see seagulls somewhere in The Seas, just not real ones with the poo. We have enough of that at the NJ shore.

So is the name of the pavilion now going to be called "The seas with nemo and friends" or still the living seas? Cuz it seems like a mouthful to refer to, and we all now how regular tourist people like to shorten or change the name of certain attractions.

Well it looks like just behind the rocks they are working on the water lines for the ol water spitter so atleast that maybe back, even if they cant get the name right.

Aside from the Seagulls and "MINE? MINE? MINE!", I hope the splash effect is still going to be in use. I have always loved that. Does anybody have info that can reassure me it will still be functional?

Now as for the seagulls, isn't that a gull perched on the "The" in the "The Seas" sign on the rocks in merf's pic? I see a white figure with an orange outward obtrusion.

So it's been a long time since I've read about entrance/exits at TLS...

Will everybody enter through the refurbished entrance, just like old times, and the exit will become exit only? Or will the mural entrance be used only for the new ride?

As before, the main entrance will be next to the mural. The line will snake indoors and through some preshow areas (one new, one kind of retained) and terminate directly at clam loading. However, with the exit now being simple sliding doors I`d imagine it won`t be too hard to enter this way. Unless there are plans we havn`t heard of for the exit area, though I doubt it.

Good to see the mural is hole-less again; though I miss the sunset! I guess the holes were support foundations being added for the pavilions inhabitants.

... and terminate directly at clam loading ...

Not a phrase you hear every day. :p

And since it seems to be the cultural event of the century, I'll say that while I believe there ARE seagulls on the mural, I do NOT believe the picture shows them. That's clearly the biggest bubble on the logo, plus some orange-ish rag/trash/etc

For fun, i thought i'd post the horrible photo of Marquee and the Seagulls from the monorail whizzing by in the rain at dusk...

I'm pretty sure the yellow blob on the left-ish is the marquee, and the two orange blobs in the middle are seagulls.

Very surreal! Send the photo to the National Gallery or the Louvre and I am sure it will be hung as a masterpiece and worth millions. "Nemo at dusk, in the rain."

That was most definatly a seagull on those rocks. This is exciting! I really miss those hydrolators but hopefully this attraction will impress us all. I have a good feling it will since they are putting a ride where a ride hasnt been in years, plus... it will have a STORYLINE! something the seacabs lacked.
