Needing Reassurance On My Choice of POR!!!

We are booked for POR during March 2010. I was originally booked at POFQ, but I moved us when I looked at all the photos of POR. I fell in love with the resort.

However, after reading every thread I can find about the two resorts, I am worried I should have stayed with POFQ. We will spend most of our time in the parks and will be relying on the bus transportation to travel from the resort to the parks.

We have always stayed at Fort Wilderness in the past, so I am thinking that the transportation will be a lot like that and won't really end up being that big of a deal.

My biggest concern is the night we stay late at MK for the EMH's. Does anyone have any feedback on their experience during March (Spring Break).

POR is our Favorite...we have stayed there 4 times...we like it more than the POFQ which is also nice....You cant beat the grounds and staff...we have recommended to many who also love it...So what about the buses...its 5 minutes more at the most...we have never had a problem in over 20 days stayed during the last few years...Have a ball!!!:king:

We stayed at POR over this past 4th of July and we would do it again.
Our room was in the lower (inside) level of Alligator Bayou. We were pretty lucky with the location. Both the food court and bus stop were very close. This was nice for the late nights when mom and dad had to carry the kids back to the room. :)

The bus schedule was pretty good going to the parks. Like others have said, the bus stop near the main building is the first stop. Sometimes there would be a crowd, but since it was the first stop, we always had a seat going to the parks in the morning.

Our first night bus trip from POR to MK (really the Polly) was a standing room only. This was most likely due to the fireworks on the 3rd.

We also considered that first bus ride and E-ticket attraction since bus driver was a little a bit heavy in the foot and liked to turn on 2 wheels.Since we were standing, it made the ride very “interesting” :lookaroun:animwink:

On the way back the ride was never that bad. Sometimes the bus was doing POR and FQ, but still not a big deal. Do as other suggest and wait a little before you head out at closing. The lines will be much better. You will either wait 30min in the bus queue or spend that time sightseeing in the parks. Make the time work for you.

HAVE FUN!!! :sohappy:
