Sorry if I offended EVERYONE! Apparently none of you have toured the park solo... Standing in the single rider line, I hope to be able to chat with other people who are alone, since i have no one to talk to most of the day, instead I'm surrounded by families... And yes, when I got to the boarding area (test track specifically) the 2 "groups" ahead of me made a big deal that they were being split up... It's those cases that upset me...
My OH and I both use the Single rider lines knowing we will be separated, there is nothing wrong with doing this, then moaning about being separated when boarding is different.

You ought to start a separate thread on this subject. I don't believe scooters have been discussed her before. Especially those new Living Seas Scooters.

LOL OP... if you really want some company, why not bring family/friends along?

My husband is here for work, chaperoning a school trip.. When they cut the kids loose in the parks, we ride together, and wait in standby or get FPs... I would never go on a ride with him and go in single rider... Guess other people have different priorities and don't care about sharing the experiences with their loved ones, and only care about riding as many rides as possible, but I enjoy riding WITH him when I can, and sharing more than just the wait in line together :)

I guess the point is that you can wait together in the single rider line, but just won't be together on the ride itself. Which typically isn't very long. And it's not like you are generally going to talk or interact while on the rides that have single rider (which are of a more thrilling variety).

My other big one happen last week. Fat people that have scooters that are just to lazy to walk. When I wait 30 min for a bus and they wait 2 min and get on first. Also I always thought that they had to sit in there scooters but this one got out of his and sat in a seat. So he took up four seats. Then there are kids who had to stand. I am all for the way Disney takes care of the disabled but sometimes people take advantage of it.

WOW I've been wanting to vent about this one.
Last week I was behind a 30 something guy on the line at Rock n roller coaster. The cast member asked him where his chair was. At first the guy didn't understand the question. The cast member said "your wheelchair where is it". The guy was not over weight, didn't walk with a limp, hoped in and out of the ride with no problem. His answer to the cast member was " I just use the scooter to get from a to b".
BTW there is a sign on some of the busses that states the ride must sit in a normal seat.

I never saw the signs. That is just crazy. If there is two scooters that mean 8 seats are gone. I love the buses and it is a great perk but it can really suck sometimes.

I have used the single rider line at Aerosmith, and i don't have a problem if families do it too, as long as they are ok with not sitting together.

All I meant was that he may have a disability that is not blatantly apparent. I know that people abuse the scooters, and let's not turn this into that debate again. Just don't judge by whether a person is heavy or walks with a limp.

Come come now, this thread started out judgmental. No need to stop the melodrama now.....

My statement is about people doing the right thing as opposed to working the system.

I agree with you some ppl need them. I don't judge them at all bc it could happen to me in some years. I just don't like some of the treatments they get mostly on buses.

I heard the new magic wristbands will take care of this problem. Only true single people will be allowed in the single rider line. The bands will know if you are there with other people and won't allow families or couples in. They may even be linking MyMagic+ to match.com so single riders can use their collected data to be matched with other single riders. Imagine the possibilites, you rode Small World 7 times and got matched with the only other human being on the planet who could listen to that song for over 45 minutes. True love for sure. Of course you have to pre-pay a non-refundable deposit for your wedding at the Grand Floridian wedding pavilion. They have to pay for Nextgen somehow;)

MagicBands connect with your Facebook/Myspace and also run a federal background check.
