My family and I are going to Disney World from june 13-21. All the planning is up to me, since I really enjoy that kinda thing. I just can't decide where to eat!! We are doing the silver magic plan so the more expensive the better!! Why not I already paid for it right? I would like to at least haev six definite places to eat. I was figuring Narcoosee's, Brown Derby, Rose and Crown for fireworks, California Grill for fireworks, Fultons and one other but I cant decide. Please let me know good or bad, whatever you think, and should i make PS for these. Thanks:veryconfu

if price doesnt matter then try le cellier steakhouse in canada. wonderful food!

also, a place i think gets overlooked alot, mama melroses restorante italiano, in MGM. they serve the best pizza ive had anywhere in my life. as well as other fine italian cuisines.

I would recommend Jiko (at AKL)- it's awesome!!! Of the ones that you mentioned, I would definitely go to Brown Derby (try the Cobb Salad) and California Grill. Narcoosees and Rose and Crown are both good, but there are other places I would prefer over those. If you really want to get your money's worth- try Victoria and Alberts at GF. I've also heard excellent reviews of Citricos (also at GF). Personally, I haven't gone there yet, but I've heard great things about it. Artist's Point at WL is also very good- the salmon is a must try. Coral Reef at Epcot is great too. My DH and I also really like the restaurant in Morroco- Restaurant Marakesh is the name I think. Le Cellier is also great, especially if you're wanting an awesome steak.

So many choices, so little time! This is making me terribly hungry thinking about all this food.

I would definitely get PS for any of these restaurants. At that time of year, you could get stuck with having to wait for a (long) while if you don't have PS.

Hope you have a nice trip and happy eating! :)

They aren't the most expensive places, but they rank high on my list...

Ohana
Boma
Whispering Canyon Cafe

If you want something more expensive you could try some of the World Showcase Restaurants. Le Cellier, Restaurant Marrakesh, and San angel Inn aren't more pricier places.

I prefer you try one of the places i listed at the top though. Sometimes price isn't everything. You have to factor in the uniqueness of the place and the atmosphere. The World Showcase restaurants don't appeal to me as much because I don't think you get the better experience that you can get elsewhere on propoerty. A lot of that food can be found in your home town and the "show" isn't the same as the other Disney restaurants.

A few personal favorites

1. Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge is a really good meal. We have been about 4 times and it has not been a bad experience yet.

2. Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge is really good as well. We went during our last trip and the food and wine were just great.

3. The Flying Fish was a great experince with the boardwalk providing some great after dinner entertainment.

4. The Rose and Crown for Illuminations is also great. The food and beer are good, but the fireworks really add to the experience.

5. Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge offers a wonderful variety of food with its buffet and is a good value as well.

Have a great trip.

i take offense to this.

its my freedom to enjoy the food i want, and the pizza is something i really enjoy. i dont yell at you telling you how dirty your state is, or how annoying all of you loud yankees are do i?

btw, ive been to new york many many times. and the pizza is nothing compared to the pizza in chicago.

-ps. congrats on getting arod, perhaps you could put him in your rotation, then you might actually have a moderate pitching staff.

California Grill is wonderful - especially if you go during Wishes. They have an outside observatory which is nice, but if you book your table for about 1.5-2 hours before the fireworks begin, you have a good chance of getting a window seat. It's really nice to sit at your table and watch the show. They dim the lights and usually pipe in the music and stuff.:)

Also, we absolutely love Coral Reef. They have a wonderful South African lobster tail with Gouda (I think) mashed potatoes. It's pricey, but well worth it. The last time we were there (January), Mickey actually swam in the tank in scuba gear! It was amazing! Everyone went crazy.:)

And finally, although I know that some will disagree, we actually love Cindarella's Castle for dinner. They have a risotto meal that, for some reason, is just one of our favorites. Also, the atmosphere is nice there.

Good luck and have fun!!

kgallog88 - I feel compelled to jump in here and offer this up for what it is worth - the Rose & Crown is nowhere to dine if you have prepaid your meals and have other options at no additional cost.

Yes, the location is great for watching illuminations, but so are multiple other sites around the lake. The point is, you have paid a primo price for that silver magic plan and "pub grub" doesn't compare to other restaurant menus at EPCOT (Center). I just hope you don't find yourself disappointed that you could have eaten at any of a number of other superior dining spots during your evening at EPCOT (Center), but settled for fish and chips or steak & kidney pie.

SmithGett, imagineer99, vilegirl and sarajo have recommended a number of other dining establishments inside EPCOT (Center), all of which are worthy, and I would add to their list Teppanyaki, the Japanese restaurant.

For your other dinner, if you are staying near or will be visiting the Boardwalk, Spoodles can be very nice. I join the others' recommendations of 'Ohana at the Polynesian Resort.

vilegirl - I agree with you on Cindarella's Royal Table Restaurant. I always make sure I have dinner there on the day I visit the Magic Kingdom.

I second (or third or whatever) the recommendations for Jiko (best restaurant on property, in my opinion) and Artist Point. Two other high end restaurants that I have not seen mentioned yet, but which are both wonderful, are Citricos and Yachtsman Steakhouse.

I agree that Mama Melrose's is very very excellent. I consider myself an Italian connoisseur being an avid fan of Chicago Italian myself. The pizza at Mama's is wonderful. The whole foodfired flatbread is something different that the typical pizza you normally get. Now, let's not discuss who's Italian is better because it is hard to make pasta better than other pasta. Italian is Italian and Mama's is very good.:hammer:

If price is no object, I’d have to say that the best meal I have ever had on park property is at Shula’s. (Inside the Dolphin.) It is, most probably, the single most expensive place I have ever eaten but it is absolutely amazing. Every single bite of food (and the portions are HUGE) was outstanding. If you haven’t been and -really- want to treat yourself, I would recommend checking it out.

OK, Epcot is my Fav insults your food tastes, you take offense, and then respond by insulting everyone who lives in the State of NY :hammer:

Now, you want to insult the whole State by calling it dirty, OK I can live with that. You want to knock their Italian food, despite the fact that you probably never set foot in Little Italy, OK I can live with that too. But when you knock the Yankees, that's where I draw the line.

You are obviously a suffering baseball fan. Assuming you are a loyal Texas fan, your misery resides in either Arlington or Houston. If you are an Astros fan, good luck with Pettite. He will pitch well until about July when he realizes that (1) the 100 degree temperatures in June were actually the cool days and (2) the 10,000 fans that showed up for opening day were actually Giants fans. And if Clemens goes out for the season, at least he will have to offset the salary the team owes him with his Medicare payments.

If you are a Ranger fan, I feel for you. You overpaid for Arod and now you are helping the Yankees overpay for him. And did you really need Arod to secure you last place for the last three years? The Rangers were managing that before shelling out 25 Million a year for him. Hey, look on the bright side. We gave you Soriano. He will probably lower the temperature in your State by about 10 degrees as he whiffs his way to a 150 strike out season. You got a gold glove second baseman  and a human air conditioner. Oh yeah, nice pick up with Jeff Nelson. If nothing else he will keep the employees in your stands in line. Finally, your ace is Kenny Rogers
