Okay I just found an awesome flight (southwest, $273, Providence - LAX...alright it's not THAT awesome, but it's cheaper than anything else I can find) and that means I'm going to Disneyland by myself from June 5 - 8th. I'll be arriving in LA at 12ish, so I figure I'll check into the hotel (the Anabella Hotel, anyone else stay there?) change, and then head to the park for some food, getting to know the place, and fireworks. I won't worry about many rides since it'll be so late in the day and I'll be exhausted.

ANYWAY, what I really need is for you guys to tell me I'm not completely nutso for planning this trip two weeks in advance and going by myself.
Any takers?

Not crazy - as long as you've got the funds, enjoy it. I wouldn't goto DL alone becaue I prefer to have a travel partner, but if i was into doing stuff alone I'd consider it. Have a Mint Julep for me :)

STOP!!!!!!

Do not go unless you can include a date after the 11th. The Nemo sub ride opens then. If you can't change your days, go and enjoy, but if you can go a few days later - ride the new subs!

Haha I was kind of hoping to skip the craziness of that opening week! I know, it's very un-disney but with such limited time, I want to do as much as possible.

With just 1 person it really wont be bad. They have a few single rider lines too. Most of the crowds will be at the subs, and if you can get yuor butt out of bed, you'll hit that in the AM and then be enjoying the rest of the park.

Excellent points... I'll see if I can switch my work schedule =)

We stayed at the Annabella in May of 2004. We found the hotel grounds to be nice and the outside of the buildings of the hotel nice. We were a little disappointed with our room, it wasn't quite what they billed it out to be. They called it a suite but it was really just one big room with an alcove for another bed. But really we got a good deal on it and we weren't in the room that much. I guess you get what you pay for. Anyway, since you are traveling alone and not with a big family, I would guess that the room would be fine for you.

That's the room I booked, I think it's called a Jr. Suite. I don't really care about the size of the room because, as you said, it's just me. I'll just be there to sleep. As long as the place isn't disgusting, I'll be a happy camper =) Thanks for the info!

Thanks, everyone! I can't believe it's coming so soon, I'm so excited!
I've got another question though. Has anyone here booked a package with ground transportation? I booked the shuttle bus with my package and I have no idea how I'm supposed to, um, get it. It didn't ask for my arrival times or anything (I didn't book my flight through Disney, would have been three times as much) Will it say in my package confirmation I get in the mail? Or do I just head to a certain area of the airport?
Anyone know? haha, I feel so unprepared not knowing this.

Depends on the airport, but your stuff should have a number or something. All else fails, the airport will direct you to ground transportation and you should be able to find a desk to check in at. John Wayne is super easy, not sure about LAX.
