That tink mask is horrible! If that is the alternative they really need to have enough women to fill that position and avoid the mask.

The mask at Disneyland is not designed with zoomed in photography in mind (it does look creepy) When viewed from the castle with the glowing effect, it looks great. It looks like Tinker Bell.

My husband and I have a bet about Tinkerbell. He says there is no way she is "live". They use something else to slide down the wire that looks real.
I say that she is a real person who slides down the wire.
He says that Disney would not risk a real person 200 feet up in the air (appx height), sliding down a wire.
What is the consensus?
A good meal is the outcome of this! Does he get to pick or do I????

I think they tried using a "dead" person but the whole decaying thing kept getting in the way.

During one of the tours I took a few years back, the guide said that they were always female and had to weigh between 88 and 105 pounds in order to 'fly' that night. Too light and they went too fast, too heavy and they might get hung up on the wire (in which case Tink had to shut off the lights and pull herself to safety.....).

I might be off a bit on the weight - it was a number of years ago and those are the numbers that are stuck in my head...but the concept is correct.....
