Hello All

Our family is going to Disney in October and we need help on where to stay.

Our choices - Kidani Village , Yacht & Beach Club Villas, Or Bay Lake Towers

Some info - We are a Family of 4 - Oldest son 8 yrs old, youngest will be 1 year old. We have been to the beach club villas and love it, but there are just so many pro's for each resort so we are leaving it up to you all to help.

Please help us decide

Thanks

Three great choices. I would say Beach Club, but if you've been there, try something new.

If you are getting a savannah view, I'd say Kidanni, and likewise, if you can swing a Magic Kingdom view I'd go with Bay Lake.

If you are doing standard view at either, then go with Bay Lake for its amazing location.:)

I would say Bay Lake Towers. I love the interior pictures!

I also think with your family situation, you would really like the convenience of the monorail. Our DD was 10 months last year, and now we're taking her at 2. We stayed at the Poly last year, and just being on the monorail with such a LO was wonderful! One night, DD really needed to go to bed, so I just jumped on the monorail with her, and DH and DS(then 5) stayed behind at the MK. We're staying at the Contemporary in just a few days for this very reason - we wanted the monorail, and the Contemporary was cheaper than the Poly!

I really like the Beach Club atmosphere, but with LOs the ages of yours, I don't know how much you would get out of proximity to Epcot. On the other hand, my DS is a huge fan of DHS, but he is facinated with the idea of staying at the Contemporary since the monorail runs through it.

If you have your car, I'd consider staying at the new AKL villas. Otherwise, I'd skip that. It's just so remote!

Kidani or baylake.

I just stayed at Kidani and we didn't find that it was too remote at all. It's got some great facilities and kids will love the pool area. However, if I didn't have a savannah view, I personally wouldn't want to stay there, because that's what really makes the place stand out. (We were originally put in a standard view but thanks to a wait list got bumped up. Sooooooo glad we did. You can still see the animals and stuff but it's not the same as having your own private balcony over the savannah.)

Otherwise, i'd choose baylake (our first choice for our next trip) because my family loves the contemporary. Lot's of amenities, great views whichever direction your room faces, and most importantly -the monorail!)

You are not talking about this October, are you?

I would think it would be difficult to get anything except Old Key West or Saratoga at this late stage.

For October the Yacht and Beach Club will most likely not be available but hey you never know. If you plan to spend more time at the MK i would choose the towers but I am also hearing good things about Kidani.

Thanks for all the replies. We will be at The Yacht & Beach. We love Epcot and close to Disney Studios. Plus our oldest son loves the pool area and the small sand pool for our little one should be perfect.

Plus we did not want to be far away from "kitchen sink"

It is crazy because you can't go wrong, but you just can't be everywhere

We will be going back in March and we will do the bay lake towers

Thanks again

I would choose Bay Lake Tower. This is one of my home resorts. Although I LOVE Beach Club Villas, their pool, Cape May Cafe, Beaches and Cream, and Epcot proximity, you just cant beat the Contemporary's monorail convenience. It is a Disney classic, very family oriented, and offers some pretty spectacular views!
