I am going to be traveling to Disney with my family for thanksgiving and was wondering what rest. at the Magic Kingdom is a good place to eat at with a family during that time?
Please I would like to get information from experts.
Liberty Tree is our favorite - both family favorite and with friends. If you like counter service, Pinnochio's Haus is also nice.
If you don't mind taking a two hour break from the park, the Grand Floridian Cafe is the best place I have ever eaten (excluding steakhouses, of course...it's my favorite :~))...the have amazing sandwiches, soups, appetizers...the lunch is fairly cheap, too. It might be a nice break in the afternoon to get out of the hot sun :~)
Note: The buffet is only at dinner time; lunch is sit down. I've never tried the buffet, but lunch is ah-mazing!
I was going to link that as well. It seems that most offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal with their own special twist showing thru in the side dishes.
I don't think you could go too wrong with any listed.
If you're going to go to Liberty Tree, make sure you make reservations as early as possible. I mean, literally, 7:01 am the very first day you can make those reservations, do it. I can only guess, with its theming, it gets as possible there on the holidays as the castle is every morning for the character breakfast.
'Ohana at the Polynesian. Not very thanksgiving type of foods, but it is great food and you'll definately stuff yourself. And ohana means family. So being stuffed to the gills with your family now that is Thanksgiving!
I would bet the buffet at Fort Wilderness will be doing something special for Thanksgiving. It's a short boat ride from the Magic Kingdom, and is not usually very crowded. The food is also really good, and the campground atmosphere would be fun for Thanksgiving, in my opinion. Liberty Tree is also wonderful (we've eaten there on Thanksgiving), but like other posters have said, make your reservations early!!!
If you don't manage to get the Liberty Tree Tavern, the Crystal Palace may be a good alternative. I'm sure they have a pretty cool Thanksgiving buffet, and I have always loved their food!! :slurp: Plus, it has a fun atmosphere... Granted, sometimes it veers towards the chaotic, but that's what you get with a character meal!!
