Hi everyone. We just got back from an awsome trip in July. But,,, I would love to go with just my husband of 25 years. WE have never done this before and I am very excited! I would like to go in December if possible (peak season, I know) or June IF I have too. Is it too late for Dec?? And I REALLY could use a discount.
Any input or advice is greatly appreiciated.

I imagine that you should be able to get a good price for a trip before Christmas. But the price for a trip between Christmas and New Year will be BIG.

We're going from Dec. 17-23 and getting value rates at WL. Peak starts the 19th. I called this past weekend regarding AP or the current room only discount out and WL isn't offering any discounts except for suites. I would love the spend our anniversary at the WL next year with my husband, but my daughter has already informed me that we couldn't go to WDW without her! She will however let us take a 3-day Disney cruise.

The first 2 weeks of Dec. are not considered peak and the crowds are not bad at all. This is the time that I like to visit. We will be there again from the 2nd until the 6th for the WDWMagic Meet.

I would definetely go in December! It's the most beautiful time of the year to visit WDW, because of the Christmas decorations and special events, and no, it's never too late to plan a Disney trip! Have fun! :)

Congrats on 25!

Well congratulations on your 25 years. My wife and I will be down in October to celebrate our 25th as well (leaving 3 kids with gracious grandparents).

To give you easiest access to the rates available for December I would suggest you give Pam a call at Kingdom Konsultants. Many folks here swear by her, and it would take care of the details part for you so you can focus on the fun stuff.

As for planning the fun stuff, I recommend using:
http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/holiday.htm

That site will provide you with a great guideline for all seasonal festivities.
Get back to us after you are able to make your plans so we can suggest some of the details

Thanks everyone. My husband is a band director and his last day of school for Christmas is the 17th, so I miss out on regular rates. I was thinking the 19th thru the 22nd. He would like to stay at a Monorail serviced resort, but oooohhhh the prices! I will keep y'all posted on my progress.

If you want a deluxe, but can't afford one of the Monorail resorts, you may want to try either the Wilderness Lodge or AKL. For Xmas, I hear the WL has some of the best decorations on property. WL and AKL are less expensive than the other Disney deluxe accomodations, but still very nice.

Good luck to you...happy 25th to you and your husband.

I think we have decided on POR French Quarter. I think the "little" streets would be decorated. I got a good rate from Mousesavers for my stay from the 19th thru the 22nd, but I can't get thru due to Francis, so I hope rooms are still available when I call CRO on Tuesday.

Thanks for all the well wishes, and I hope everyone stays safe!!
