Need help ASAP please!

I found this great package for a 7 night stay at a value resort with 4 adult park hopper passes for everyday + the basic dining plan for 2500.00 including tax.

Without the basic dining plan it would be around 1500.00 for the package. I've never been to Disney for this long before and never used the dining plan. Is it worth it to include the dining plan for the extra 917.00? I really need to know ASAP because the reserve on my package expires today. Also, is this a good deal all the way around for what we are getting?

It doesn't sound horrible considering it is based on 4 adults. I am not one to listen to though, as I have only been twice and the first time was before dining plans existed and we were off site. To give you a reference point though, we went in Dec. with 2 adults and one child, stayed at POP and had the basic dining plan and we paid about 1700 for 8 days 7 nights.

I have never used the plan but it also depends on how many sit down meals you plan to do a day. If it is 1 sit down a day it might work out to your benefit. Also you want to make sure you pick good restaurants as well. Using your sit down meal for a breakfast buffet everyday wont work out in your favor.

We love the dining plan, but like everyone else said, you have to make sure you'll want to have a sit down meal everyday. Of course we pick the best restaurants and try to get the most expensive dishes, that way we get the most for our money on the plan.

Sounds great to me! We love the Dining Plan. Considering you are all adults it might be nice to have a sit down service every night. Gives you time to recoup and re-energize.

Sounds like a good deal. If you schedule most of your daily sit-down meals for the evening, it will work out better for you, than doing breakfast or lunch.

Disney sees it as a deal for them because they are getting guaranteed $$ sales from meals, that they might not bring in if folks are left to their own.

But the only benefit you will get out of it, is that you use the dining plan to the maximum limits that are allowed to you. If you skip a few sit-downs, that ++ for the Mouse.

I would check out mousesavers.com for a analysis of whether or not the dining package is right for you. It's the best website to find out how to get the best "deals" out of the plan. For example, Le Cellier, Coral Reef or Chefs des France would probably be a better deal then one of the buffets assuming you'll order the filet or one of the more expensive entrees. If you do a character meal, dinner is a better deal then breakfast, Akershus is a better deal then Biergarten or 'Ohana. Now, if you don't like the food at Akershus it's really not a deal at all but for my family, the meal plan is great.

I think it looks like a good deal. If you do the math, it comes out to $615 per adult....that's $89.29 per day for lodging, admission, & food for each adult. Like others have said, you can maximize the value of the dining plan by scheduling more expensive meals. Always keep in mind the $39.99 per day. If you had a dinner at LeCellier my favorite entre is the filet w/mushroom risotto that costs $36. That meal would definitely pay for itself big time. LOL! Keep in mind that dinner is more expensive than breakfast or lunch. Look at menus and plan your dining carefully.
