Need advice on using Priceline

Okay, this has nothing to do with Disney really, but I have never used Priceline and thought about it many times. In June I am going to Disneyland and staying on my brothers points as a DVC member at Paradise Pier. My trip then continues to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Our last night before flying back home will be in Vegas. Everytime I look at hotel rates there, they seem to be going up. I know some members here have used Priceline and I wanted some advice and to know if you have been happy with it.

Thanks!

I usually have better luck with Hotwire than with Priceline.

Best advice is to go to www.biddingfortravel.com and check things out there. They have listings of what people bid and what they got for that bid. All of the zones are spelled out and what hotels are in each zone.

And I did use it in the past for airfare and saved a bunch.

I have went through Priceline a couple times, but I much prefer Expedia. I've done business with the now for the past 5 years and have only had 1 problem, which they were quick to take care of.

Their customer service is excellent, but you won't save the kind of money that you'll save with Hotwire or Priceline.

Most travel sites I've been on haven't had any real bargains since I'm looking at a Friday night. I hadn't thought about Hotwire, but I'll check it out too. Thanks.

Thanks.
Today I bid several times using the free rebid advice from www.biddingfortravel.com and www.betterbidding.com, with no luck. I'm going to try again tomorrow. I probably should have done this a few weeks ago since the day we will be there looks to be very booked everywhere. June 24th (Fri.) is the magic day. I really want to stay within walking distance of the strip but don't want to pay an arm and a leg.
