Nearest Stores to value resorts?

I was thinking about going to buy a cheap styrofoam cooler for our room at the value resorts since we will not have a refrigerator. The Walmart is too far away. Is there somewhere close by that might sell them? We can keep ice replenished daily to keep items cold.

There are a number of drug stores on US 192, which isn't terribly far from the All-Stars. Certainly not within walking distance by a long shot, but not far by car. There are also a number of grocery stores and a Wal-Mart on 535 near-ish to Downtown Disney.

You might be able to pick up on at one of the 3 HESS stations on property. The closest one would be at the Boardwalk. If you have to rely on Disney transportation the one across from DTD will be your best shot.

If you have your own transportation and you're willing to go down 192, you might as well follow it west to the end (6 miles from WDW) and take a right. Super Wal-Mart is on your right (Cagan Crossings off US 27). It's easy to get to and getting back to Disney is extremely easy. It just sucks if you drive it in the morning before noon.

The other Super Wal-Mart is in Kissimmee and it's pretty easy to get to as well and there's a Super Target near that one as well.

However, not far down 192 from World Drive there's a Walgreen's and other drug stores that probably sell them.

soft cooler

Have you thought about trying to find a soft-sided cooler (similar to soft lunch box but much bigger). I'm not sure where you can find one, but I do know they make them. We have a rather large one that actually has a pull up handle and is on wheels (similar to a piece of luggage), but it has soft, collapsible sides. It can be flattened to fit in a suitcase. It doesn't hold ice for several days but will hold ice for almost 2 days. Since ice is easy to get at the resort, it shouldn't be a problem to add new ice each day.
