Smoke will race today. It is an ongoing investigation and currently no charges have been filed. After seeing the footage, 1. I can see Tony's car's tail slide as he passes Ward and 2. Ward shouldn't have walked midtrack with active traffic coming on. It's just a tragic accident which is the nature of the beast in any form of racing.

I watched the press conference, this is not the first accident of this type at this track.

He actually could because no charges (as of yet) have been brought against him. He did though, (I'm sure with prodding from Greg Zipadelli) decide not to race. Regan Smith will be driving the #14 today.

Reg flag stop. Those two cars were obliterated but thank goodness the drivers walked away.

There was such a long delay earlier in the race after those two cars got mangled. (I'm always amazed at the safety of the roll cages, harnesses, suits, helmets and the Hans Device provide to these drivers.)

I'll have to tune back into the race again in a few minutes, and get caught up!

Looking forward to today's race at Michigan! With the # 24 reaching a 206 mph qualifying speed, I'd say that a super speedway is perfect for him! Michigan International Speedway is one of my favorite big track venues.

He had a great car all weekend. Gordon takes back the points lead and ties Johnson, Earnhardt and Kesolowski with 3 wins this season. Win #91 for Gordon.

I don't know what to think about any of this. Instead, I'm going to direct my focus on the drivers and their teams that will be racing this weekend, and wish all of them a good race.

This Jr and Gordon battle for top of the leader in points is making things interesting.
