...is better than Google Earth (IMO of course ;))

http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/

It is a 180MB download though, so I'd expect it to be better!

EPCOT has a Living Seas Heliport labeled?

Yeah, those are cars on Test Track. You can kinda see them on Google Earth also, but this is a much nicer looking program. I'm downloading it now. Just started a couple of minutes ago and I'm almost 30% done. Thanks for letting us know about it.

It's got more options and slightly better imagery. You can get the topographical maps. There are a different LandSats that give you different styles of imagery. Sometimes you have to try different ones to get better images of certain areas, but overall it's pretty neat.

The first three photos are exactly the same area, just with three of the different map modes (there are more than that)

Small problem I have encountered is looking at places outside the US. You can't get as good a resolution when you zoom in. Also, there are no street names so you need to know exactly where the location you are looking for is.

I found the same problem with all satellite photos (of the UK at least). There obviously isn't as much interest (or cash) to give a good detail :)

How much longer before we see moving vehicles from Space on a program like this? Or at least a topographical mode that'll be able to show the actual elevations of mountains, buildings, etc.?

It does do topographical heights of mountains. Not buildings though. In one of the map modes, you hold down the right button, and drag up/down to move around.

Lower left corner: LAYERS

Scroll down, and near the bottom you'll see: 3D buildings and Terrain. Check those boxes.

I've only been able to get it in certain areas. If you go to major cities you will see them come up with 3-D representations of their larger structures.
