It's a resturant in the Lost continent of IoA, across from posidons fury, in a "extinct Volcano." It's a really cool building with water running through it, and huge statues on the inside and outside, but the food is overpriced, with small portions.

The Enchanted oak tree (my personally favorite) is the other "big" resturant in the lost continent. In this resturant, you eat inside of a giant oak tree stump. In my opinion, it has the best food and the biggest portions for the price in all of IoA. Also, look for the animals carved on the inside of the tree. I think thats a rip off of animal kingdom...
I think Mythos might appeal more to adults who have both extra money and time to spend.(or waste, depending on your point of view) We ate there and were very impressed with both the food preparation and service, but agree that it isn't for everyone. I wouldn't recommend it to families, anyone with a large appetite, (although we felt full but not "stuffed" when we finished) or anyone in a hurry.

Unless the park is packed the day you eat there, chances are you won't need any reservations.

Mythos is an incredible dining exprience! We make a point to eat there each visit to IOA. The food is expensive but it is also on par with Emeril's in CityWalk. Make sure you save room for dessert, the Gooey Bannana creation is DY-NO-MITE! :lol:
Mythos gets a 5/5 from my family, we have ate there numerous times and have yet to have a complaint. Also I don't think the prices are that bad, I can order a drink/dinner/dessert for around twenty dollars, before tip of course. That is well worth fine dining and atmosphere you get, IMHO.

When I went I ordered a ceaser salad, and for the price, I expected something big (it was about the same price as a salad at the Hard rock which you can't finish). When the food came, instead of a big salad like I was expecting, I got two small leaves of romaine lettuce. Not my idea of a 7 dollar salad...
I think that ALL restaurant reviews should be viewed with a grain of salt, even if you know the person personally! What is a "huge" portion to one person might be considered an appetizer to another! Also, menus change and are readjusted constantly....if enough people complained about the salad being too small, it may have gotten larger before the next poster visited.
I know people who can feel "stuffed" after eating a small container of yogurt...I know others who can finish off a 16 oz, 1&1/2 inch thick steak with all the trimmings, and still have room for dessert!
And I find that my mood and expectations, along with the company, will also contribute to a positive or negative experience.
