Mythbusting, Disney style

Oh, I kind of have one, but I'm not sure if it's true or false. Perhaps someone can find out?

Walt Disney made the first computer generated image, a tea pot. My teacher in my Animation I class said her teacher had said the same thing (we're working with 3ds max).

They Hydrolators never moved - FALSE (dropped about 2 inches)

Technically just the floor of the cabin dropped and rose. The walls and ceiling of the cabin never moved. This was more noticeable when the cabin was fairly empty and you could see where the floor and walls met. With a hydrolator full of people you couldn't tell, unless you were leaning on the wall.

This is an interesting one because Disney used to claim that on Main Street, all the bulbs were inspected nightly and that all the paint was stripped down and repainted on a monthly basis. It was the kind of thing they'd tell you on the behind the scenes tours when they started in the 80s.
Probably has to do with the declining maintenance standards. You rarely used to see lightbulbs out. Now its pretty common.
The Beatles were legally broken up as a group by John Lennon in the Polynesian Resort- True

President Richard Nixon said the famous line "I am not a crook" at the Contemporary Resort- True
Did not know these. Very interesting!

Walt was dishonorably discharged from the Army. On October 1st. FALSE and FALSE.

(I include this under WDW because bus drivers for some bizarre reason like to tell this lie.)

Isn't that actually false? According to a book I have and the film over at one man's dream, Walt was one year younger than the required age for service, so he and a friend joined the red cross which had a lower age requirement.

The original SSE Narrator was Vic Perrin - Unconfirmed?, most people said that it is, but Marty Sklar said it was someone else

I have actually talked to Marty and he said it was Vic.

Nope it is shown in full detail at the Disney Family Museum that he did in fact change it to get in.

I believe both are true, he was still too young to get into the red cross as well, but he was able to "edit" his birth certificate or something to get in.

The Beatles broke up in 1970, I didn't think the Polynesian was open until October of 1971???

Note the term "legally".

I don't know if this is true, but it's plausible that their legal separation was not complete until possibly 1972.
