Do we know if it is strictly a film? I know that his main line of work is film/media, but could it be associated with the ride? He has worked on numerous rides in the past i.e. Mystic Manor

Magic Eye's hosting previews of both. I get a feeling Good Dinosaur will find its way in there because as we all know, cavemen and dinosaurs can only ever meet in our imaginations.

They are currently previewing Tomorrowland but it was confirmed very recently that an Inside Out preview will take its place in about a month.

It's part of the Blue Harvest joke. "Horror beyond Imagination" was the tagline of their fake "We're totally not shooting a Star Wars sequel here" movie.

I know that. I'm just making a point that the Great Movie Ride was originally planned for the expansion pad beyond Journey into Imagination at EPCOT. Maybe there's a clue there.
EDIT - It could be a clue for saying Star Wars Land coming to DHS. Or something indeed will be tied into that Imagination expansion pad for Star Wars. Or Imagination itself could be tied into Star Wars and connected to DHS via a Hoggsward Express (or Endor Express).

If Iger wanted to put Star Wars in Epcot and prove his lack of taste further, he wouldn't put it next to Imagination: He'd turn Spaceship Earth into the Death Star.

I'm not saying it will happen, but I'll bet ya' that they've at least considered a 2-park tie-in for Star Wars. This could explain why Star Wars Land at DHS will follow the other expansions there. They, in theory, could turn Imagination into a Star Wars themed attraction and space port. The port would then include a themed people mover to Star Wars Land at DHS. Disney has wanted to build a direct monorail or light rail to DHS over the years. Here's their chance to do it and pay for it at least in part with capital slated for Star Wars attractions!

He's already proven capable of this via Frozen.
