Trip Report My Very Merry Christmas Adventure - Full Report

Hello!!!

I am pleased to announce that it will not take me another 12 years to get back to WDW. In fact, I am now 31 days out from a last minute vacay! If I keep this up, I may be like @Tuvalu :p:p

Who: Me and my niece Lala
When: Saturday, Nov 25 - Tuesday Nov 28
Where: Port Orleans Riverside with QS DDP
Bonus: Tix to MVMCP

I have been having the Disney Blues ever since my last trip. Reading all the trip reports just added to the sadness. :D But, with some smart budgeting (and lack of Target Shopping), I am able to swing this quick trip. Plus, I have always wanted to see Disney at Christmas!

I've made a couple of Fast Passes, but I think this time, we may just go with the flow. IF I can do that!

Now...what to pack?!?

So, this is somewhat tentative, other than the flights:

Saturday: since we arrive at MCO around 11:05, we'll probably not get to Riverside until, say 12:30ish; that is if the MDE is the same this time in drop offs as previously. Drop our bags off and probably head to Animal Kingdom. I currently only have a FP for Navi River Journey, but that may be dropped if LaLa isn't all that into Avatar. It's at 3:35, so I may grab an earlier FP for something else. But it depends on the time we get there. I was thinking of ending the day at HS, so that LaLa could see Fantasmic, as we got rained out the last time we were there.

Sunday: It's MK day! Getting the day started with BTMRR, then taking a little Pirate Cruise. I have Splash reserved for late afternoon. My thought is that since that day would be MVMCP, we could possibly get to 7DMT as the parks clear out. Then we'll stay and see all the Christmas activities.

Monday: EPCOT! Currently only FP for Soarin' and Living with the Land. Hoping to get Test Track some time that day as well. Maybe Frozen, as I saw some late night FPs available, but we'll see.

Tuesday: We fly home (I'm already not looking forward to the Tragical Express). Then, back to work the next day.

I'm trying not to schedule too much - just taking it all in. That's one reason why I only went with the QS DDP, so that we don't have to rush to get to a reservation and since we're only there for a short time.

I still cannot believe I did this. I think because life is short (we lost a tennis teammate suddenly last week) and just throwing caution to the wind and doing something crazy were the deciding factors.

While waiting for The World Series to start, I made simple Mousekeeping envelopes.
