Family of four adults, 9 nights at Coronado Springs, 7 day park hopper passes, free dining ... 6 years in the making, Disney Dollars, Discover Dollars cashed used to buy gift cards, some gift cards were gifts from my boss. A lot of hard work (and some near tragedies) went into getting this almost free trip. :greedy::greedy:

Wow that is fantastic!!! You will have so much time to see everything you want to see at WDW and Coronado is a blast. It's a big resort, so be prepared to do a lot of walking. Other than that...you have a lot to look forward to!

Thanks I say, as I had bunion surgery 9 weeks ago and sprained my ankle (same foot) 2 days ago. I better make a full recovery before the trip .... LOL

Wow. Almost as good as my deal. Back some years ago I got a last minute 8 day stay using my timeshare for $80 for the week, rental car was $75. And i had an annual pass. Lol. I wish I could come across deals like that now. Rental car is no less than $50 with all the fees.

You should write all about this experience and self-publish. Sell it for like $0.99 on Amazon, and *BOOM*, you get another almost-free trip!

One year we used frequent flyer miles, disney visa points for the room and tickets. Free trip (I don't count food as we have to eat wherever we are...we are light eaters and split meals at disney). Another time it was frequent flyer miles, disney visa points for the room, and we had AP's that we previously bought and used them again. I also always pay for items throughout the year in cash with bills only, throw the change in the bottom of my purse, and at the end of the week put the change in a coffee can. In one year it is amazing how much you can save. Once it was about $500 which I did use to pay for our food. Disney can be very affordable if you plan it right.

That's awesome! I'm trying to do something similar with different rewards programs, but I'm also filling in some extra by budgeting on Disney gift cards each week. Congrats on such an affordable trip, have fun!

I've always thought about saving up my Disney Visa rewards dollars for a few years and taking a two week vacation without having to pay for a darn thing...but I'm not patient enough to wait that long haha.

I don't know if timeshares still work this way, but about a decade ago we had one, and it was a $90 a month maintenance fee. ...that adds up. We sold it for $3,000.

Best deal I ever got was thru the American Airlines website. I booked the entire trip, then googled a 20% off coupon code that worked! So the whole week long trip wound up costing just a smidge over $3,000 including food and lodging. I am fairly certain the coupon was not supposed to work that way.

I did spend the weeks leading up to it worring that AA would find out and clip our wings.
