I've always thought about saving up my Disney Visa rewards dollars for a few years and taking a two week vacation without having to pay for a darn thing...but I'm not patient enough to wait that long haha.
We would have gone 2 years ago, but my DH ended up having brain aneurysm surgery at NYU. Then last year my DS, age 24, had complications from a tonsillectomy -- 2 trips to the ER and a second surgery to pump his stomach. Now I just sprained my ankle and tore two ligaments (just 9 weeks after bunion surgery), so I'm hoping that's the "things happen in threes" and we will be good to go next month!!

I don't know if timeshares still work this way, but about a decade ago we had one, and it was a $90 a month maintenance fee. ...that adds up. We sold it for $3,000.

Best deal I ever got was thru the American Airlines website. I booked the entire trip, then googled a 20% off coupon code that worked! So the whole week long trip wound up costing just a smidge over $3,000 including food and lodging. I am fairly certain the coupon was not supposed to work that way.

I did spend the weeks leading up to it worring that AA would find out and clip our wings.

Yes I think all time shares have a maintenance fee. Mines runs about $30 a month but a flat rate for the year gets a major discount to pay the year in advance. The problem is that I never use it the prices are still amazing but no time.
